Cuban chick that is EXACTLY whats going on!!!! U explained it word for word. I have gained 3 lbs but haven't posted it on here bc im so embarrassed. I can basically eat anything right now. And you called it bc for a few days right after surgery i was never ever hungry. Now im hungry all the time. I know i should be chewing my food more but i forget some bites and it still seems to go down fine. Thank you so much for posting that! U literally described what im going thru exactly thank u!!

Thanks for the advice Shortly after i eat. Even as soon as i stop eating im still hungry. It feels like the lower stomach is empty. Is that normal?

Im only 3 weeks out or so but i get this weird hunger but im done eating feeling. Is that how it works? This sounds weird prob but its like when im done eating my meal. my bottom stomach is hungry and empty but i get that weird burp ( i assume telling me im done) and ive gotten stuck for a second before at that moment so i stop eating. But does anyone know what im talking about? Am i doing something wrong? Eating to fast or something? I dunno what this is. Lol is this how the band works?

I read up on all the things that could possibly go wrong. I was nervous too. But the low complication rate was attractive. And i decided before getting banded that it was worth getting it done even if i have a complication a year or two or more down the line. My big fear was they say u supposedly can have it in for life but who has? Truthfully not a lot of ppl. Its only been out since 93 ii think and i had a real hard time finding anyone with it in for 10 yrs plus. But its a risk i was willing to take. My out of pocket was 5500. I had a hiatal hernia which i guess most obese ppl have and insurance paid for that repair which was 4400. That may be an option for u to look into Goodluvk!!

Anytging that brings up your heart rate can be considered exercise .... So id say absolutely!

Learning how to eat again! This is difficult! Take smaller bites, wait, chew.... And no drinking while eating! Lots to learn!!

I just went to mushies and I've gained! I know that my body is healing and i shouldn't fret its just discouraging and kinda sucks to see that :/ Has anyone else experienced this? How long till i lose? Maybe im not eating correctly? But im barely eating too and i dont understand

I was banded on friday afternoon and back to work tuesday. My job is a desk job but i deal with the public and walk around often (work in an apt complex office) The day of and two days after i had to have someone help me out of bed. But other than that i was pretty self sufficient I hope this helps u!

Sounds like your pretty determined which is great! But how much weight can they expect u to lose in a month? Dont worry about what they think.. Just keep going along like u are youll do fine!

Man thats kinda rude of her. Im sorry u feel that way. :/ i know these loopholes insurance wants u to go thru is very hard but the outcome will be bright. You've already done half. Youll get thru this.. Even if insurance doesnt approve there is a reason youve been put to this task. Just keep on the path laid for you and go from there. Dont worry so much about failing. Bc if u do the real failure will be your frame of mind. Good luck to u!

I was full for a few days post op. i think it was because i was swollen. On about the 5th day i started getting hungry. And each day further out im getting a little bit hungrier

Well theyre really nice. And seem to have a great aftercare program. Most the staff here in austin has had the band and its almost like friends helping friends..

Blended food- i wonder if thats weird or good or what? Or does it basically taste the same lol. It sounds so weird throwing an entire dinner i a blender and eating it. Lol Sounds like it would be similar to canned cat food.. Thanks for making me laugh guys lol

I was nervous too. And i was told by someone on here "Id be more concerned if u werent nervous" That was nice to read
