  1. Hi, yes you all were right. I did get enough pills to last me several days. I just wound up taking one. Hopefully, they will make me drowsy and will fall asleep. Maybe this is TMI but I have been peeing so much because of the IV fluids and every time I finally get comfortable in my chair, I have to get up to use the bathroom. I just had a really nasty protein shake (chocolate mint) but of course I am still hungry, lol! The shake was just a sample I purchased. Thank God it wasn't a big container.
  2. I went in at 6:30, had surgery at 8:30, went home at 4:30. I am in a lot of pain at my incisions. Have some gas pain so I did go for a little walk before. Saving my pain medicine for bedtime. I feel like someone kicked the crap out of me. I have been able to keep water, ice chips, apple juice, and chicken both down. I am sooooo hungry so I may try a protein shake later.
  3. Going in tomorrow morning. I have to be there at 6:30 and I am scheduled for 8:30. So excited, nervous, & anxious all at the same time.
  4. Did you try the powdered whey protein from Costco cause I was going to pick that up tomorrow.
  5. A question for those who are on the clear liquids diet post op. Are you getting protein? You can't add chocolate protein to soup or Jello so what do you do? Sorry to sound stupid but I am a bit confused. And when you you start the protein shakes?
  6. I am scheduled for surgery on Thursday, 11/29. I do not have a pre-op diet because I have lost over 25 pounds on my own. Tomorrow my husband and I are going out to lunch for fried calamari and THE best pizza in New Jersey, Pete & Elda's. I don't know what else I will have this week. I don't want to overdo it cause I have worked really hard to get where I already am. But I am hoping I can get in some veal sorrentino from my favorite Italian restaurant, too. And a piece if tiramisu!
  7. I just wanted to let you know I am scheduled for my surgery and I see your picture and you look beautiful. Don't let your plateau slow you down. You have come a long way and you will overcome your stress. I know, easy for me to say because I don't know what you are dealing with. But just think how much harder it was to deal with stuff thrown at you when you were heavier. You didn't have the energy handle stress and you probably lacked a lot of the self confidence (that you now have) to get you through. I wish you luck and please keep us posted because with a loss of 88 pounds so far, I KNOW you can pull through.
  8. I guess I never thought of that because I was buying the sample packs which only contain 20g. I didn't want to buy a big container of it in case I didn't like it. But thank you! :-)
  9. I am ordering some protein for post surgery. I went to the Unjury site but their protein drinks are only 20g and I need 25-30. Can anyone recommend something that tastes good with higher protein content?
  10. So excited. I am now scheduled for Thursday, November 29th.
  11. How are you feeling? Are you moving around ok?
  12. Thank you! They said it wasn't medically necessary. I have sleep apnea and a BMI of 43. My surgeon did say that of all the insurance companies, CIGNA is the most difficult to deal with. Figures cause that is what I have!
  13. Sadly, no. :-( Did you do your pre op testing? Are you on a liquid diet?
  14. Nope, not a thing. Ugh......
  15. Nothing like waiting til the last minute, huh? Good luck and update us as soon as you hear.
  16. Fighting with the insurance company. My surgeon is scheduling a peer to peer with them. Does anyone know how long this process takes and what the outcomes generally are? So ticked cause I was scheduled for 11/20, then 11/26, now 11/29. I hope it doesn't need to get changed again. Praying I get good news soon.
