  1. I don't get any notifications at all. If you unsubscribe to this thread you wouldn't see it anymore. Sorry if it was my post that did you in but I only responded once (and now this one) :-(
  2. You know what's weird? My skin (at least on the surface) is still numb. I didn't realize you were only getting 2 doses from the children's pain reliever. Hopefully you won't need it much longer.
  3. Did you try the generic version of it? My port site is still uncomfortable but not painful anymore. It seems like that hard bump I had went down quite a bit over the last 4 or 5 days. Hope you feel better. :-(
  4. Kerr, I just googled a few things and according to what I have read, you are not eating enough calories. The websites I saw say you should eat anywhere from 800-1500 calories per day, and more if you are exercising regularly. Your body may be storing this extra weight because it thinks you are in starvation mode. I am not a doctor or nutritionist so I can't say for sure, just telling you what multiple sites say. But I am already eating more than 800 calories and I am only 2 1/2 weeks out. Good luck with everything!!
  5. Me neither. I knew this was to be expected, though. When you say 1/2, are you referring to a 1/2 cup of food at a time?
  6. I was afraid to rub it really hard cause I kept envisioning it opening back up, lol!
  7. I can't find it on the iPad app. Maybe if I just go to the website I will find it. But I will check it out. Thanks a bunch! :-)
  8. Can someone please tell me how I can block a member so that I don't have to read through some very judgmental responses? If I am reading someone else's thread and she replies to it, I would like to not see what she has to say. I don't see on here where I can block, only report. I am not going to report her because she is not violating the rules here. Thanks for your help!
  9. Wow! Best of luck with your surgery. My lap band mentor just had hers done over the summer and she feels like a million bucks.
  10. I will try that. I am not even trying to remove it from the scar itself, just the surrounding area. Thanks for the tip!
  11. 2 1/2 weeks post op and no restriction. I know that. I won't get a fill til mid January. I am fine with that, too. But I am curious....anything that I eat goes down no problem at all, even if I (occasionally) forget to take small bites or chew until it is paste-like. Is this normal? When I get a fill is it going to change?
  12. Does anyone know how to get the glue/sticky stuff off your skin? I tried alcohol and tonight I tried Vaseline and nothing works. I am dying to get it off because it makes my incisions look way worse than they actually are. I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and the strips have been off for a week.
  13. I haven't heard of any Lap Band deaths but the dad of one of my daughter's classmates just recently passed away from complications from gastric bypass. I must say, however, by appearance his BMI was way over 50 and I think he did the surgery as a last ditch effort to lose weight because he was not in great health from being so heavy for so long.
  14. I had the same thing and was wondering if it was from all of the IV Fluid that they ave me in the hospital. Not only that, but the smell was just AWFUL! It did go away by days 2 or 3.
  15. Hi, are you feeling better now that it's out?
