Two Weeks After First Fill...
acoleman380 replied to barepooh71's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
5 cc's seems like alot for 1 fill. My doctor put in 4 cc's at surgery but i know that he only puts in .2 to .5 cc's at a time per fill. I would call them and talk to him about it -

acoleman380 replied to lisapereira66's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have found that the people that arent jealous have noticed my weight loss even though its only 15 lbs. Well i started at 166 but im 4'11 so 15 lbs might be noticable i suppose. Dont worry, people notice...if they are jealous, they wont say a word. Congrats on your weight loss. Your doing awesome!! -

Why Am I So Tired?
acoleman380 replied to heidijane's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes you will feel better i promise. Once you start eating more solid food you will get more energy. I was exhauseted for 2 weeks while i was on liquids and no lie..i cried everyday until i started my soft foods..lol. Its life changing so its normal to feel a little depressed but i promise you, you will feel better soon. -

Feels Like A Big Bubble In My Chest
acoleman380 replied to Rongen62's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I kind of remember having the same feeling after my surgery too. Kind of like a heavy feeling and like i needed to burp. I also had a hernia repair. It will go away. You just barely had surgery 3 days ago so your body will do all kinds of weird stuff that you will notice. It will settle down and get back to normal soon. Keep walking -

Almost 3 Weeks Out And I Feel Wonderful!!!
acoleman380 replied to acoleman380's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I wasnt required to do a pre op diet so the 13 lbs is since surgery. My advice would be to just hang in there! It will be hard the first couple of weeks but i promise it does get better. Best of luck to you -
Wow what a difference from just almost 3 weeks ago! I have lost 13 pounds and im getting compliments and lovin it when i first got banded, i did not know what i had done to myself. I was weak, in pain, and the liquids were going to kill me...or so i thought. Everyone told me it would get better but at the time, it was hard to believe but it really has. I start solids this wednesday and although im a little scared, im excited to actually eat real food again. I cant wait to have a piece of chicken Anyway...i just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here who has helped me and answered my questions and made me feel so much better when i really thought i wouldnt make it through the liquid stage. You guys are the best!! Xoxo Angela

Are you allowed to eat those foods at 11 days post op? I was on liquids for 14 days and then soft mushies for 1 week. im not sure about the pain since ive never been stuck but it sounds like you may have eaten meat too soon
-
Well im new...just got banded almost 3 weeks ago and this post scared the crap out of me im already terrified of getting stuck, so much so that i can really see myself staying on mushies alot longer than im suppose to. Im suppose to start regular food on wednesday and im scared. Even more now that ive read this...

Seriously Need To Vent!!!
acoleman380 replied to lovinjacobe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree..not all men are like that. My husband waited on me hand and foot while i was recovering and took perfect care of the kids also. I was actually shocked...lol. Im sorry he left you like that. You definately should not be lifting a baby so soon after surgery. It can be dangerous. -
Have Thrown Up Twice Today After Eating
acoleman380 replied to donna12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thats my fear too. I dont want to go through the rest of my life afraid to eat -
What does it mean when someone says they have no restriction? Does it mean that they eat and still get hungry between meals or does it mean that they can pretty much eat anything meaning any type of food without getting stuck. Im new so just wondering what this means.
-
Hahaha! I was wondering who that reply was for.
-
Thanks. I needed to hear that today. Im 2 weeks post op so i cant eat solids for another week and this is not going to be easy but will be so worth it in the end. Happy Thanksgiving!

My doctor says that you can sip with your meal. I get why you shouldnt tho!
