  1. Good luck rest , walk a LITTLE then in a few days or a week update us and remember to ask Any concerns or questions from your Surgeon if you take Any meds ask for liquid form for a little while , so you will be able to take them it will be a few days but you will start to feel normal again . again good luck on your banded Journey.
  2. For the Android app there are 2 versions one is Bariatric pal & the other one is Bariatric pro you have to download either with google play , then just go to where it says log in and put in your user name & password and that should do it , hope you are able to get it .
  3. @@JustWatchMe I bet you are extatic as I know you were hoping for that goal I am happy & smiling for you , have a wonderful day keep it up((down on the scales) yeah you did it!!!!.
  4. It was a good meeting , hope everyone got home safe after dealing with that traffic & the weather ,nice to see a good turn out & THANK you information No I am not a figure of your imagination , @livingfree/ sherry.
  5. @@gowalking how COOL.
  6. You will go through a lot of emotions these next 2 weeks try to stay in a upright position if you have a recliner sleep in it & yes do get up by your self & walk around your living room just like they did in the hospital , also you just had major surgery so take the next 2 days to rest as much as you can another suggestion is put a LOT of pillows behind you if you're laying in bed , pretty soon you can take one by one off till you are comfortable , try to be patient with Husband or family members it will get better , I was lucky because everybody new in my house ,so when one of us aren't feeling well , it's funny because we don't talk to each other on normal days most of the time & when we are sick or had surgery we are more difficult , hope things get better for you like I & others said it will get better.
  7. I went to party city & bought stuff like you would put in grab bags for kids party's the cheap rings & things for boys & girls I really don't have to worry about candy it only applies to me when I have a craving before& after being banded , soda was my unhealthy habit before , my family will pass out candy & I know they will keep it for them & their friends , now when it comes to fruit or melons then I can have all my band will allow , so I will enjoy Halloween & all the other holidays , Happy Hallows eve & Day of the dead.
  8. Apparently I am I went to my Surgeons office today , did the barium and We decided since I was still losing no fill and I walked and rode the bus there and back there and to home.
  9. Wow just looking at the picture I posted , today you can tell in a few places and you can tell I lost weight look at the sagging neck ,and chin this makes me say yuck I need a lift in a few places lol , I will have to post another good one so I will look better lol , but then again it just proves that I am & have lost weight.
  10. Well I went to see MY Surgeon today ,we did the barium swallow & he said no fill & was proud that I am walking & have lost all that weight that I put on 10 lbs is back off with a little more because of my back , so now to move forward & keep on losing till goal , I am happy , I decided to walk & ride the bus instead of driving my car .
  11. Wow I started counting my calories & I guess I wasn't eating enough( Protein & Healthy food) to have the scale move, yes it moved a few lbs at a time , but when it tells me I I haven't had my full calorie count it distributed me lol , now I have to eat more protein & Healthy stuff to lose to get to goal I was trying not to eat to much this is crazy but I guess with MY condition(thyroid) that's what I have to do.
  12. At first I could eat because I didn't have any fluid in my band but it wasn't right away after surgery it was like a month after, then I got my first fill & found out really quick that my band does not like anything starchy, I even tried to eat a sandwich thinking it would be a healthy option, but NOPE & in the summer I wanted a slurpee so bad & I don't even think of those any more because I drank a small one WITHOUT a straw & it felt like I had a rollercoaster in my body , so I no longer & haven't had that stuff, I can take the toppings off the pizza but I rarely do that, because that is like having a treat & I can only do a little & I have to eat that REALLY slow& take REALLY small bites & chew well.
  13. Just for me my band does not like pasta or starchy foods , but you are still in the early stages of learning , yes at times you will be uncomfortable if you don't figure out YOUR stop signals it is a learning experience for each one of us hope it passes& you feel better good luck
  14. @briefs maybe just a suggestion a small salad with some beans in it to make it slide on out or just take some ex lax not a lot though , hopefully you can just get things moving along oh & drink LOTS of WATER .
  15. I still like that my kids tell me things like your legs are skinny or grabs my arm to get my attention & speak to me & says you're all bones we were joking around & I told one of them of course my youngest that I was going to kick him well he said something as like you probably couldn't even balance on one leg for 30 seconds so I kicked him jokingly & then told him you didn't think I could lift my leg that high we started loling then I showed him I did balance on one leg for 30 seconds , WE got a real kick out of it. (Pun)
  16. I need to put these in a folder & look at them from time to time for a reminder .
  17. How funny did he even recognize you before he looked at your before pic lol , maybe he wanted to know info because you look so good and thing of wls. his self, a lot of Professional Doctors don't know about wls. unless they study for it, I know I have also been aske what the objuect in my stomach and body is lol but I try to tell them up front.
  18. It is REALLY Hard it seems that the last few lbs don't want to fall off unless I put my body in starvation mode and I am choosing not to just eating healthy , but I also have my issues & thyroid that fluctuates so that means my weight does also , still clothes get smaller so I will wait & when it comes off I know it will.
  19. The reason most people choose the band is because they don't have to take out part of your stomach or reroute it in anyway & I have heard of people that have diabetes , some of them get off of their meds because they exercise and eat healthier , there are a couple of people on here that had your Surgeon and have done REALLY well, there is a Person if you look up Carolinagirl & notice her Surgeon , look at her gallery and profile you will see She has done amazing & what the difference is in her transformation, she was banded with plication, so talk with your Surgeon and ask about the band with plication just a suggestion.
  20. PROTEIN PCROTEIN and more PROTEIN and DRINK THE WATER , I forgot but someone once posted , I think it was something like 64 grams of Protein & 84 oz. of Water A day , it could be the other way around but you might want to try that just a suggestion it is hard but doable.
  21. It happens e they said you are not the first & won't be the last , I had gained a few lbs and my Surgeon was texting and asking me when I was coming back in to see him because it had been a while and I wasn't so sure I should go see him being embarrassed but there was other things & issues involved , but I said heck with it because I could feel & see my self starting to eat a little more than I usually do ,surgeon is so cool , when I went in & discussed it with him , he did the barium swallow & fluro check , we both noticed I was little loose so WE decided on a adjustment(FILL), it was all good after that and he didn't judge me like I did myself , so if they are good Doctors then they will help you.
  22. I never Drank Coffee because I had a very bad experience with it when I was younger , tried one more time after that and had about the same result , now however before Surgery I used to drink at least two 2 or 3 liter bottles of soda by myself a day , when I found out I was approved for surgery I weaned & stopped about 2 months prior hardest thing for me to do , because I would wake up and have a soda and then all day I would drink soda, now I still crave it once in a while but I don't want to be the 320lb woman that had health issues and couldn't walk so I just don't touch it , but I may have a glass or 2 of Tea , no sugar once in a while and that satisfies me.
  23. You can ALWAYS ask your Surgeon and suggest that you want it to be fixed ask him/her so they will check it out I tell you just my suggestion but let me tell you I am so HAPPY that my surgeon did fix my Hiatal Hernia repair because I haven't had any issues with , heartburn, gerd or reflux since and I still eat spicy foods sometimes , before I would have been choking and having that nasty burning , I haven't touched tums, nexium, or rolaids, or any of that since my surgery .
  24. I hope I can make it this time , I am REALLY going to try and make it.
