  2. Thanks! My surgery is about 70 miles from home' date=' so if I could just send her home, I totally would. I think I'd feel guilty about having her come so far for pretty much no reason. I figure I'll just drive myself and we can come get my car at the 1 week post op appointment[/quote']

Check with the hospital cause mine said if i drove myself they would cancel the surgery do to being on pain meds. But that was my dr/hospital

The first day u will most likely be asleep most of the day maybe walking, second day walking around lots of walking

  3. With the whipping cream added doesn't it have a large amount of sugar? What are your serving sizes? Did you do any sort of breakdown? Sounds delicious by the way.

My grandfather is diabetic and it was the first think i thought of but he eats cool whip from time to time. He showed me the sugars in it. It was like 1 or 2 grams of sugar in both reg and sf and I think it only has 1 or 2 carbs.

Its a good dessert or snack and even the rest of the fam can enjoy it.

Some ppl even add walnuts. I love it w/ pineapple but tried it with mixed fruits instead.

  4. We used to make this all the time. Then i looked at the ingredients and tweeked it to boost Protein.< /p>

    U need

sugar free Jello (strawberry, cherry or other flavor) un-made small box

    Whipped creme

    Can of fruit

    Protein powder(unflavored)

Container (medium size)of fat free cottage cheese

    Pour cottage cheese in bowl

    Add jello mix package

Add 1/2 ish of whipped creme/cool whip

Add fruit after straining most of juice

I add 2 spoons of protein powder(spoon as in the one that came with the powder)

Mix put in fridge for an hr or so

The cottage cheese has 19g protein per serving then boosting that with the Protein Powder.

    It taste good.

I made some with rasberry and used too much cool whip so i would reduce it to 1/2 bowl of whipped creme. U can always add more cool whip. Im going to try and make it individually too

The pic is how it will

  5. I went in to my appointment. They said i was doing good. I am a total of 58.5 lbs down. Feelin good. They cleared me for full workout(weights) as well as fruits and veggies raw/cooked. Im aiming for 75 in the next 3 months. Hoping to complete a 5k.

58-lbs gone... Gone for good. See ya

It was funny one of the other nurses asked how i was doin she said she could see the difference. Fam and friends have said the same. Good to hear.

  6. That's really great to be running in the woods. Hiking is an activity that has always connected me with "the authentic life" no matter what is going on around us in this crazy world. I would love to also run on trails' date=' but am seriously hesitating because of getting injured and not being within reach of help. It is the roots and rocks that get me thinking about tripping and falling off a cliff, rolling down a mountain or just spraining my ankle. With that said, I think I will start running on a nice wooded path that is fairly clear of roots in a nearby park. It is about a mile round trip so would make a good run circling around 3-4 times. Thanks for being inspirational.[/quote']

living in Dallas i dont think i have to worry about cliffs or mountains. I wish i had some hills and mountains lol. A ditch is as big as of a cliff we have here lol

Im going to look into couch to 5k too

  7. Dr. Nick Nicholson... 3 days post now' date=' and wondering if everyone is having as much pain as I am, in my lower back! I can hardly sit on the toilet! lol...of course, yes, still feel like a truck ran over me from the surgery... But should my lower back be this painful? I didn't get a wink of sleep during my overnight at hospital, and I had bed almost completely upright position the entire time. Hope that's not what screwed my back up.[/quote']

Dr. Nick did my surgery too on 11-7. Was yours in frisco or dallas. I like dr nick.

My shoulder and down my back a little hurt but after i went hm a few days later i went to Walmart and walked around the store a few times. The next day it gone.

  8. My grandfather used to say i needed to lose weight so did my grandmother. Jr high and high school kids i grew up with made fun of me. I learned to let i roll off my back so i made the jokes b4 any1 else could. I still heard it but it is what it is.

I do think its funny when i go to a fam members house and they have the chairs below and say sit down... Im like yeah right thats not fm certified( fat man certified) lol

My uncle used to say i had more jelly rolls than duncan donuts

Hell i got big boy kips tattooed on my leg lol

But my uncles and grandfather are my biggest support. My grandfather and my uncle was the ones that were there at the hospital for my surgery

    Deff not FMC

  9. Gotta agree with rootman on this. There is a line at work and we gotta stay about 3 ft behind it at times. U dont know how it will be accepted. Guys says u look pretty might land u in HR for hitting on a co-worker these days. But why not accept the compliment that was given at least it was noticed right. Compliment was true btw
