Being new and still on liquid , i don't know what y'all mean when u say stuff don't go down or u can't eat it.. Do u throw it back up or do u just have pain?

Ty Mis73! No one explained that to me. My choice to get banded was made when i met 2 young ladies in Cato giggling over how much weight they lost and what clothes fit. I didn't take the time to research just ran down and did it. I thought the band restricted me from over eating. I had no idea and knowing this will help me. I think if newbies were taught more by the doc or we even researched it would be better. My doc gave me no instructions.. Just Clear Liquids . And then when he said i can have coffee Jello etc i said "that's not clear liquids " he said it is...

The same thing happen to me. I wouldn't let them take me from recovery because i kept gasping for air. They kept telling to i was getting enough oxygen.. (had a mask on) but i couldn't catch my breath. I ended up with a fever.. Be careful

Yes and i didn't so it enough and i did get sick 102.8 fever and lung had fluid. Make sure i do it a few days, not just 1

Thanks for the advice. I think this diet might be better than i was counting on, you see Im the kind of person that would rather cut her finger than puke!! Lol so over doing it will constantly be on my mind!

Wow wildrose! i am 7 days post op and Im out of bed all day but still can't power walk 45 minutes

Don't panic. I am 7 post op. I felt so bad day 2 -3. I even had second thoughts about what i did. I think its the meds talking or something. Once i stopped meds and got to moving around it slowly was better. Yesterday was a turning point for me. I even got dressed and went to the store. I had sat out 4 bottles of Water and after making myself take the required amount i felt 100%better.

Im not sure if they damaged my throat in surgery, they certainly chipped my tooth! When air comes up it stops at my throat and causes a horrible pain until i swallow it back down. Then the gas hurts my tummy.. Any suggestions? I walk around with a water bottle because it does it all day. 6 days post op every since

Stay on your liquids and don't cheat. The hernia situation needs more healing. Stay in hospital! I wouldn't let them take me from recovery! I was there over an hour! Lol

Yes stay. I stayed over night and the take very good care of pain and nausea .. I could not imagine going home after surgery if u have the option to stay!

I feel much better today. Tomorrow marks a week since surgery. I have not drove my beetle and am scared because Im still a little light headed... Anyone else?

Why didn't your doctors pre treat y'all for that? I was treated for it before surgery and they continued the shots for 36 hrs .. Then sent me home with med

I had 2 hernia in my tummy. I am not allowed soda yet. They repaired both and Im thinking it might have something to do with it

I stopped smoking at the same time i had a hysterectomy .. It was crazy for a month but the deep breaths i can take are worth it. U can do this!!
