High heels?
Sorry men this probably won't be a very entertaining thread for you... Ladies! After you had the VSG were you able to wear high feels with more comfort? I have to say I'm crossing my fingers that once I have the VSG and weigh starts to drop it'll be easier. Right now I put them on and they feel a little tight and within about 30 minutes of walking in them my feet start to hurt.

Another post about it being complicated!
- Another post about it being complicated!
Sorry I know these types of post are always popping up but it's so hard I get answers! My insurance basically wants a 6 month supervised diet to show its been ineffective and that the surgery is medically necessary. 1. I can't get them to tell me if when I started my visits in November and have met monthly with the nutritionist through my PCP if its just 6 visits or if I'll need to be 7 (because when counting months you normally don't count the month it started) 2. It has to show its been ineffective which it has been HOWEVER my bariatric center is requesting the 6 month diet and a 5% reduction in weight to be completed before they will finish the step. So if I loose 5% will that be shown that the diet was effective? 3. No one can answer my questions, I have tried asking the bariatric center and insurance. Bariatric center says ask insurance and insurance is saying to call a care compass nurse (who is only available M-F 8-5) oh did I mention those are my work hours so its been super challenging to schedule and make all these phone calls Ok my rant is over ill try calling the care compass nurse tomorrow...- Looking for Buddie in Washington Area
I'm in Tacoma- Has anyone been on jetblue airlines?
I work for an airline but no Jetblue. I feel the pain I fit in the seats but I'm always terrified I will gain and not be able to buckle the seat belts or will eventually have to get a second seat. Depending on your size you may want to call the airline and find out their seat sizes (or look up on line) also every airline will post what their second seat policy is. Most times if you do have to buy a second seat they will sell you the second seat for only a fraction of the cost and refund you if the plane goes out with empty seats.- Mini quiche
Haha in Washington we call them green onions as well.- Wellesse - Samples
I got the samples today! I hope the rest of you that ordered them received them.- One Step Closer - Just Ordered My First Protein Powders
I went a little OCD with finding Protein powder samples... Hehe I have a boxful but I'm trying to not try them till after surgery because I keep reading your taste buds change sometimes. I did buy a tube of unflavored protein from unjury so I can add it to Soups, jellos and puddings early on.- brutally honest post, please note there are personal details
Can we get an edited version of the story?- preop psych evaluation
My visit was probably the easiest of all appointments. I did have to call the social worker back a month later to follow up on an exercise log but she was easy to get the green light from.- Wellesse - Samples

Oops I missed the post a couple up saying they are at Fred Myers. Ha I guess ignore the last post!- if you like snacking on nuts
I've bought them at fredmyers in their organic/health food aisle. They are super cheap! Under $1.50 for a good size package. I like the dry roasted kind.- New and frustrated
Newme that is so true! You have so much to learn in the 6 month and the mental piece is huge. I'm over the half way mark for the 6 month and I can't believe how much better I'm prepared then I was like the 2nd month in when I just couldn't wait. I still want it but its given me time to prepare in many ways.- New and frustrated
- Protein For Sale!
Did you sell all your unused protein already?- Is this for me? What changes did you have to make?
I wouldn't let your age hold you back. In ten years you'll be 36 and you would hate to look back and wish you would have gone through with this at 26. I'm 25 and pre op. My mom died at the age of 51 and what killed her was being overweight, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, diabetes, the list can go on. I look at it as my life is either 1/4 or 1/2 of the way through and it's up to me to determine which one it is. I'm picking 1/4 so by the time I do settle down and have a family ill be healthy and not letting weight hold me back. I hope this helps its a big decision and trust me I'm looking at all the pros and cons. I'd be happy to talk sometime.- Frustrated by the NUTs hard sells
I agree I wasn't a fan of my nut from the surgeon office. If they try setting me up with her again I'm going to ask if there's another one in the clinic.- For the LADIES Only Please...
Thanks for posting this question! That is one of the many things I look forward to see shrink. I never even noticed it till I saw a girl on tv get surgery to make it smaller and then I was like wait what... Is mine big? Ha ha - Another post about it being complicated!
