    Need Some Insight Please !

    Thank you dee and wildrose.!. I just had my first fill this past weds.. after getting nothing from the nut unless i paid for it, I did ask at my fill appt how many cals I should eat, carbs etc.. she said 600-1200 and less than 50 carbs a day preferable 40. So that did help.. I am one that has to have guildlines. lol ><

    thanks all for your heartfelt advise! and you all are so right.. I did get a small pamphlet.. that was it, Was never told how many calories, carbs I should stay under etc.. so I've just used common sense and kind of following what I see you all are doing lol. It has been working. I just really wanted to see a nutritionist and talk with someone and have something detailed written out for me. I will continue to look! again thanks so much ladies! <3

    Thanks Patty!! Ya I thought the same thing.. she didn't given me ANY type of plan, Seemed like she didn't want to assist in anything weightloss ( details ) unless I purchased a plan.. the other plan she had was for 320.00 without the hcg and that was 4 visits, emails and phone calls if needed and then 100.00 after each month.. I was a bit disappointed.. I was ready to have my meals and all that planned out for me yesterday.. she is at my primary dr office also >< I'll do more research.

    HCG is a hormone that is produced naturally during pregnancy. In conjunction with a low calorie diet, hcg promotes the burning of non essential fat which accumulates around the hips, thighs, waist and stomach areas by regulating the body's metabolic function. When the metabolic system functions properly in the body, you lose weight faster by burning ( not storing ) fatmore efficiently. I have never thought about hcg, and when I went to see the nutritionist, it was only to have guidance in my band lifestyle. She talked to me about this, and it did sound appealing of course. I have given my band a chance, and I absolutely know I can live a banded lifestyle. I will for sure ask my surgeon what his thoughts on the matter. And I hear ya about it maybe a money grabber which led me here. What appealed to me when she talked to me about the hcg was that I wouldn't change anything about my diet, which seemed wow that would be easy to take this shot and if it gets weight off more efficiently then what the heck! But that is why I am on here.. with this.. to see your opinions and listen to all your insights.. I want to make sure I make the right decision. Thanks so much for your's and I agree with you , I should definitely talk to my doc.!

    don't feel like a failure.. you are on track you are losing about 10lbs a month and that is great! I know you see some who have lost so quickly.. and you wish you could be where they are at.. I hear ya.. but every body is different, and just try different things until you find what you feel is best for you. Switch things up sometimes, you might not know what you will find.

    you can buy canned refried beans with some guacamole on it and a lil salsa.. it was so good! i melted a lil reduced fat cheese too.. omg i was in heaven and so sick of liquids lol

    Questions About Foods To Eat/drink

    I just bought some from my surgerons office yesterday. Got my first fill, and on liquids so I'll wait till till tomorrow to try them.. I'll let you know soon or until someone replies that has taken them awhile. They look great.. good luck! was 20.00 for a month supply 60 chewable tablets.

    You're going great... I feel much the same.. how did I get this way.. seriously seems like one year I was 225 and I in all honesty don't know when I got to 325. It baffles me how I let myself get this way.. I wouldn't listen to anyone.. thats why.. but there is nothing we can do about it but move forward.. don't lose any more years.. and reach out to people in the same situation.. Proud of your weightloss! you will get there... smile.. and do it!

    Hmm.. that sounds like something pretty serious.. especially if you can't really drink anything also.. I'd call my surgeons office and let them know how serious you feel this is.. and that you cannot wait until Dec 7th. thats crazy.. hope you feel better soon! :\ and grats on such an amazing weight loss.. I would be 10lbs shy of my goal when I get there.. exciting.

    Made My 1St Goal Yay!

    I am sooo happy and excited to make my first goal and to reach it in the time I had placed. 30lbs gone!! woooo ! I have been so frustrated because I had been stalled for a bout 3weeks.. and this last 1.5 lbs got me there finally. lol.. **happy dance** I have my 1st fill tomorrow, I don't have any Fluid in my band as of yet so I will be so happy to feel any difference. So far, I haven't been to hungry, and when I eat my meal of a cup to a cup and half I stay satisfied for about 3hrs. Maybe a little less. I love my fitness pal and it has kept me on track and so have you all. Thank you all so much for your continued support, advise, and kicks in the arse! I appreciate it all. I have not been perfect but boy am I trying.. and like CG said it, you have to believe in yourself.. I sure as hell do!! : :wub: Love you all!

    Is Soda Bad Once In A While?

    Soda was hard for me as well, I just don't think it's worth the risk.. and it is soo bad for you.. INCLUDING Diet soda. I helped out my bf since he was a big soda drinker as well and since banding.. we don't have it anymore, well I definitely don't and he has cut down about 95%. So it was win/win. and Chez speak it! lol.. Good luck.. it will get easier the more you stay away and make up your mind it is just something that can potentially harm you. Propel Zero is awesome btw.

    Need Dancing Buddies

    I hear ya.. I just started zumba and I love it, but I am all over the place and live on the 2nd floor apt building so I try not to hop around everywhere lol.. I put on a playlist sometimes and for 30mins dance and work it.. so I will LOVE to do this with you!! Starting it today? woooo.. I LOVE to dance!
