    Restriction

I was banded 10/22 and I don't have any restriction as well, just trying to keep to what I'm suppose to.. 1st fill is nov 28th so I day before you .. I'll let you know how it goes! I sure hope to feel a bit of it. My band does not have any fluid in it yet also.
  2. I am so with you on this PBK! I am on MFP also and my daily recommendation seems high to me also. 1600cals? I stay around 1k-1100ish. I am making an appt with a nutritionish this week so I hope to get some better insight on that. Did you see Mis thread on food and nutrition called carb cycling? I bought the book she gives you a general idea and it has Awesome reviews.. so I suggest you find that thread and read it.. Gonna start that this week! Many people who are plateau'd ahve breakin that from the carb cycling. Try it out!!

  8. Wow, what an inspirational success story Robyn! I love to read these as it keeps me looking forward and making the right decisions. I know this will all be worth it. Post your before after pics! I am sure you look amazing! COngrats to you .. sorry your daughter had the bypass. I said I rather be fat than have that, way to many complications, the lap band was the only choice I would ever take. So far so good, I haven't had my 1st fill in my non filled band yet, not sure who that will feel.. but I am hoping things go smoothly. Thanks again for your story!

    New To The Forum

Congrats on your weight loss !! See if you can find a Bariatric surgeon and maybe do as they suggested and have them cut that cord. I know it was painful when you had it done, but rather endure the pain for a bit then having to deal with the struggle for a very long time.. think about it. well I am sure you have.. Hope you feel better soon!

    One Year Banded

    Congrats that is amazing!
  14. I started of feeling that way, I didn't want to tell anyone other than my bf. I became to excited and anxious and all these emotions as the time became closer I ended up telling almost everyone.! lol.. Just as Floridays mentioned, It's inspirational. I received only positive encouragement, other's saying I was brave to do it that they have always wanted to. Family friends alike. I might have been lucky.. but it's turned into a good thing letting it be known, especially for myself. I have always hid my weight and anything to do with being fat... hush hush.. now that I did this and everyone knows I feel free.. I feel good.. no limits! but of course.. to each it's own and whatever you feel comfortable with

Carb Cycling- An Experiment Gone Right!

Omg.. Thanks Missy so much for this!! I bought it on amazon for 10 bucks! I wanted the hard cover vs the kindle version because it gives charts? I didn't want to limit it to the kindle. lol. I am so excited to see this. I am new to the way all this diet and losing weight works. I try to stay around 1000 a day, sometimes less. Been stuck for a week now with no results and gained a pound >< .. not sure why but Only been out of surgery almost 3 weeks.

Corona.. Thanks so much for all the great info you find and share!! who are you following with the carb cycling because I am stuck and I think that is why! I want to try this I got banded oct 22nd. lost 28lbs altogether with pre and post op. I have been stuck who a whole week now, ever since I started mushies. Well, I kinda skipped mushies, was on it for like a day... and went to soft foods. I had my post op 1st appt on weds and she said that was fine and to keep doing what I'm doing. I have my first fill in my no filled band on Nov 28th! can't wait because I am hungry every couple hours also! I started to walk a few days ago.. about a mile a day. a little more, and I start dance central and zumba today! lol. Corona I am totally adding you.. you are a info machine! lol. <3

    Sexual Question For The Ladies

that really made me laugh out loud! lol With some pounds off I instantly start feeling more sexy. My bf and I have been doing different things and he Loves that! So that makes me happy of course! I really can't wait for more to come off and see where this leads but so far so good. and Yes men really just want us to be comfortable with them, it seems when you aren't it is a turn off.
  20. I just had mine done on the 22nd of last month. It is the best thing I have ever done. It is definitely a challenge.. and I don't have a fill in my band yet, I know once I do, it will get a bit easier. The people here really helped with my decision to get this one and the many successful stories, knowinig once day I will be one of those people. There is no room for failure when happiness is in your sight! Grasp it girl!

    Obama For Four More.

That's unfortunately very true. What bugs me is the ignorant people who think if you are a democrat or vote for obama you are this lazy person who wants gov. assistance. To the contrary. I know I have worked since I was 15 and going to school. I believe it should be out there for those who need it. I have known people on it who actually need the help, while getting on their feet to have a better life, and I'll tell you, the government does everything in their power to get these people working. You cannot be on assistance for more than a few years, and they only provide i think for 1 child maybe 2? but after that.. they don't. Sadly, there are those who don't want to work, and just leech.. that is the pity but there will always be those type of people. it's funny how they blame Obama for the unemployment rate yet he stepped in when it was on the brink of a depression/recession. I am actually an independent, last election I voted for mccain hehe. Republicans have become radical to me. It's all or nothing. I myself like the middle ground. I like when everyone is doing well.. it's a much happier place.

  25. Love this post and I am with you on this one. I had my first post op appt today and the Dr. said everything looks great and is going great! I have lost 28lbs pre and post op but have not lost anything in about 5 days. I know this happens and I am not to worried about that right now. I have been walking a mile a day for the past few days, and I eat green beans, chicken breast and mushrooms sautee'd in 1ts of light butter and that is about it. I have been having a hard time keeping up with my protein intake, i get around 40g a day and water. My job sucks so it is hard to grab something when I need it and am hungry. I have no fill with my surgery, and I get my first fill Nov 28! I can't wait. Now to all you successful beauties out there.. what did you all eat meal wise? Give some examples Pleaaasee! like what you all have for breakfast,m lunch and dinner. I need to find a nut, are they expensive? Thanks so much all in advance and always helping .. you all are so appreciated.
