1. My advice is to get as much support as possible and follow exactly what your diet allows. If loved ones don't support you.. find someone in this community that will! I have about 5 people I talk to that have had the surgery. It keeps you motivated and less likely to go back to bad habits. I don't cheat on my diet and I make sure I get all of my protein in. Find a protein bar that you love! I have a specific brand I like, all of theirs are amazing!! It's called power crunch.
2. Thank you everyone! It's definitely the encouragement from everyone around me that makes this whole journey a whole lot easier. I appreciate all of your kind words!
3. You look absolutely amazing!!!!
4. 6 months post op and I feel absolutely amazing. My only regret is not doing it sooner! I feel like I can finally stop hiding behind everything and get out and live my life to the fullest!

6. Thanks for the advice! I got a little more water in today. Crossing my fingers for no leg cramps tonight!
7. I am 6 weeks out. I am fine during the day with the cramps but oh my gosh at night it is horrible! I wake up out of a dead sleep sometimes in near tears! They hurt. Going to try and keep pushing the fluids. Just when I drink too much too fast I get that same full feeling as I do with food.
8. Called my doctor today because I am getting horrible leg cramps! They are going to do blood work to see if it could be dehydration. I try and drink as much water as I can but it is hard! How does anyone get a lot of water in? I can only do about 4 ounces at a time. I am also too afraid if I over drink that it could stretch my stomach or possibly make me throw up.
9. Yesterday was surgery!! Had a PICC line put in at 830am and surgery was at 1030am. I was in the recovery room by 1140am. Surgery went great my doctor said. I was up and walking while I was still in the recovery room waiting on a room to open. I did my leak test today and that came back great. They took my catheter out and they are bring me my clear liquid lunch. Surprising I have not even had the desire to eat or drink so the ice chips are working perfect. Bring chapstick! It has been a life saver cause my lips are so dry. Overall it has been actually a pretty good recovery! Way better then I had anticipated.
10. I can't believe surgery is almost here! Tuesday is my surgery. Down 10 pounds so far in the pre op diet. Good luck to everyone who has their dates coming up and wishing everyone well who already had theirs!
11. I am having mine done at St. Marys in Livonia. Where are you having yours??
12. Yay!! Good luck! PICC Line isn't bad. I just had one 2 months ago for lung surgery. My sleeve is next Tuesday and I am scheduled for a PICC line too. We are cheerin you on!!!

15. Congratulations!!
16. That is great to hear!! I love hearing all positive things about him! I have yet to hear anything negative! I have been jumping thru hoops for my insurance company since September. My surgery was suppose to be June 11th with him but in pre surgical testing he found a baseball sized cyst in my left lung. Thank goodness he found it! Anyways my bariatric surgery was delayed and I had lung surgery on June 12th to remove the cyst. I have a new date of August 13th and finally feel like I am back on track!!!
17. I am scheduled for surgery August 13th with Dr. Zeni!
18. Got my new date of August 13th!! During pre surgical testing the doctor found a baseball sized cyst in my lung. So when I was suppose to have my bariatric surgery.. I was in for lung surgery. Its been 2 1/2 weeks since that surgery and I just got a new date for my sleeve!! I swear the hoops we have to jump thru!! So glad I am almost there now! Congrats to everyone on their dates!!
19. Mine was scheduled for June 11th. I found out last week that it is postponed. The doctors found a large cyst on my lung. I now have to have lung surgery before I can have bariatric surgery ????
