Exercise goal for June~ Zumba twice a week
Personal goal for June~ I got down to 261 last October and clothes were fitting nice, I'd like them to fit like that again.

Any advice to someone who hates exercise?
Christy
Do it with a friend - no matter what type of exercise you do :] Mall walking is a fun one though! Aka speed window shopping haha! That's how I got prepared to walk around Disneyworld.

I get bad cramps during my periods - are you allowed to take anything for it right after being banded? ? :/

No zumba for 6 weeks?! I dont know how I'm going to survive!

Hey all
I've heard that some people were given fills during their surgery, and I had considered talking to my surgeon about it as my insurance only covers everything until a certain date (hoping to be banded in Sept, date ends in october).
I'm curious to those whove had the fill with the surgey if they felt that the healing process after was more difficult than those who had their fills at a later date?
Anyone can chime in on this - including people who had fills later - would you have opted to have the first fill done during the surgery?

You look fab!

I didn't look for a ride-on shopping cart to shop with in Walmart today. I walked with a regular shopping cart. That's major for me!
That is awesome!!! Non-scale victories :]
I'm scared of telling people that I am considering having WLS. Especially my family. Then if I do have it will everyone be watching and waiting for me to fail at this too?
Not people who love you. I don't care what people think, I haven't been able to keep it off on my own, I want quality of life, and this IS me getting HELP. And if for some reason the lap band did fail I would hope you'd be surrounded by people who encourage you to move on to the next thing that could help and support you into not giving up. <3

My biggest fear is definitely something happening during the surgery, but I love all the advice here! Thank you all so much, very supportive - I love you guys!

Awesome! Share pics of what you get

I'm guessing that there's a good portion of banders who had second thoughts before getting the band, how did you talk yourself out of letting fear get the better of you? Did you talk to friends or family and find comfort in them? Or other bandsters?
Also, what was your major fear?

I had a Tummy Tuck and skin removal almost 3 weeks ago. He removed over 12 pounds of skin.
He said the average is about 6 pounds but I had a scary huge amount of skin.
Wow wow!!
I am only doing boobs and arms but I will let you know!!
Looking forward to it! Good luck!
