I'm also diabetic and it does make things more tricky, I find a one ounce piece of soft cheese is enough for my Protein, and therefore my diabetes is managed. I find the same with a good quality yogurt with half a spoonful of honey also works. It's not hard on the band and is technically a slip food but not too damaging. This helps when I have had acid reflux. For me tho acid reflux has been when I have tried to fight the band rather than work with it.

This is not about weight loss it's about a lifestyle change that is permanent. I have taken thirteen months to lose five stone and another three to go. I have learnt lessons on keeping it off for the future and to control my emotional eating. It's a daily challenge but you will get there . Good luck.

I have taken anti depressant medication in the past and was warned about weight gain, however whilst there is a possibility of weight gain if you are sensible in your eating and exercise I have many friends who are taking psychotropic medication and have not gained . So I would suggest that you call your doctor and give yourself a break from the worry. You are very brave and deserve to be happy as well as slim !

I had my op in Bromsgrove and found the whole experience great. They were efficient attentive and organised. The surgery went fine and I left the next day with no problems. I also had the £5,000 package but that included two years band fills.
