  1. it has been 3 years since my surgury. I am at goal for about 8 months. For the last year though, I have had severe hearburn. My doctor thinks it is normal, he hasnt done any type of xray . I do have issues with food still getting stuck and have very little cc's in my band. I think I am at about 3. I have not lost any more weight for about 7 months which is fine with me...I am 150 pounds. I am in not pain or discomfort, except when I have something stuck. Can anyone give me insight as to if you think my band has slipped? now I am freaked out!
  2. That I have to agree with. If you are feeling like food is stuck, being able to drink lots of water is genally not an option. My first year was just the opposite, very slow in losing weight with alot of band fills. My second year on the other hand, weight just fell off me, I actually had to go in at least 4 times to have saline removed from my band. I felt hungry, yet every time I ate, things didnt go so well and I was in the bathroom. I am now at my 3rd year, total weight loss was 150 pounds and holding. I am a size 10 and I dont thing I have been that since 5th grade!!! Love the band, but I do miss a lot of my favorite foods:(
  3. compression shorts would definately help. you can find them at any sporting goods store/athletic shop
  4. I havent had an upper gi but my surgeon is not concerned with the heartburn and thinks I may be just still eating too much...
  5. I have had huge success, started at 305 and now 153. I have had 4 visits in the last year to remove saline. I have little left in the band, less than what I started with, yet have restriction. I eat, and within 20 mins, my back gets severe pain and I know I have to "get rid" of it. I also incure severe heartburn, I was prescribed nexium and by the end of the day, the heartburn returns. Any advice?
