    November Sleevesters?

    11-8 in baton rouge la
  5. i'm having the spider done with dr. hargroder in baton rouge on 11-8, i'm really excited about the spider technique because i have 2 little babies so need as quick of a recovery as possible..he reassured me that if for any reason he needed to abandon the spider tech and go lap that he would without hesitation which reassured me but i'm hoping that the spider is a success. Do you know how many he has done?
  6. i totally get that..its like when people say "your face is so pretty" or "your not as big as you think you are"....im 5'3 214 so were both considered low bmi but with my co-morbities and back issues i know this surgery is right for me . i appreciate that people are trying to be sweet but they really dont understand that their compliments don't really help us feel better, usually worse.
  7. i know...its so annoying right????people just need to mind their own damn business...crazy skinny people to to eat so their brains get nourishment..lol
  8. im having my surgery in baton rouge by dr hargroder...he is a fantastic doctor and ill so excited..i feel like its prom and im so excited but nervous, unfornatually a boy wont be kissing me after..lol...where do u live and where are you having your surgery
  9. omg, im so sorry..i understand your pain...after my back surgery i had a similar experience and actually bleed after..it was a horrible thing to deal with. glad your better and no longer full of poop

    Here's A Thought, Shut Up!

dang jean that sux...people need to mind their own damn business....its not them that went under the knife so where do they get off with their judgements and opinions..you have your reasons for doing this and you shouldn't have to explain them to anyone unless you want to. people really get under my skin when they act like that ...i would still like us to get together and their is another lady , linda, that is wanting to start a group i think. sun-tues ill be gone for doing pre-op and visiting with a friend in baton rouge , then my surgery is 11-8 so not sure if we can get together before that but we can try ..if not we can after i get to feeling better...i have so many questions tho but i understand if we cant get together before then. good luck with everything and remember you have all the people on here and your hubby that understand and agree with your decision..in the end all i cared about was having my hubby and mom by my side...

  12. i know...its still so unreal but lately ive been thinking about the skinny jeans in my closet that probably have dust on them...lol.. not really but its been 7 years since i wore them...their a size 7. im starting to prepare i think..funny story, yesterday i bought a liquid multivitamin and it was so nasty, well my hubby said it was all in my mind so i had him try it and he said he almost threw up...yes it will be going back
  13. im looking in to using dr. hargroder in baton rouge, he does the spider technique which is very appealing to me..the only thing is that he is 4 hours away and there is a great surgeon here, dr. merriman, but he doesnt do the spider surgery..also i have heard of hargroder because apparently he has alot of patients from allover who sing his praises but im having a hard time finding these reviews..so if anyone has used or knows someone that has used either dr. hargroder or merriman i would really appreciate hearing about your experience with them...thanks, jennifer
  14. Hopefully u can find someone that does the spider

    What Do You Fear Most?

of course your fears are real and valid...we all have them..but my biggest fear was not having surgery so that is why i posted that..isn't that was the post was about, our biggest fears???the surgery is non reversible and life altering so please don't think that i'm down playing any of that. I never once said the surgery wasn't a "BIG" deal so please dont put words in my mouth. this surgery is the BIGGEST decision of my life thus far as im sure is was for everyone on here.. good luck with your weight lose

    What Do You Fear Most?

how about my fears if i dont have the surgery...dying from high blood pressure related death(i have chronic high bp), getting on insulin for diabetes , diabetes itselt (im pre diabetic now), ending up in a wheel chair because my back is so f***ed up..but the biggest and scariest is dying young and not being around for my kids and sharing in their lives and memories they make. I have had alot of health problems and have experienced a sense of "doom" if i don't get healthier..im only 29 and my boys are 21 months and 9 mths old. i have the rest of my life to live and in my eyes this surgery isn't ELECTIVE, it is necessary for my survival..my pcp agrees. we all need to remember that yes there is a very small chance that something can happen and that is scary and has crossed my mind so i just had to weigh my options and for me and my circumstances surgery gives me the best chance of a longer and healthier life so the rest im putting in gods hands. i have read alot about possible complications during my research to have the surgery but i choose not to now because It will just create doubt and uncertainty and i want to go into the or feeling happy and not afraid to die or that something that happened to someone else could happen to me. good luck everyone and i really hope that no one has any complications and go thru with the surgery and leads a great life.
