    Here is what DO in this situation - go into a 7-11 or almost any gas station and you can by a Protein shake they almost all cart muscle milk - get the lite one if they have it. This will give you safe meal enough protein get a bottle if Water also Lee

    When do you workout and why?

    He Goal Achiever ; ) Both insanity and P90x are legit workouts that take reverse approach to on anaerobic / aerobic workouts. You can't really go wrong with either one... The two keys to those workouts are first always modify where needed and second attack it! Meaning intensity intensity intensify - better to go really hard and walk in place to "rest" then go Hard again as opposed to pacing yourself. Can't wait to read all about it ! Lee

  4. The truth is YES it sucks horribly and I was sure I wouldn't be able to do it but with what I can only assume was Devine intervention I was able to follow it. Two hints : 1- It does get easier after third day 2- I made it REALLY simple - I drank only shakes, only one flavor, set my clock on phone and took it like medicine every two hours *** Bonus was around day 7 I had a real freeing feeling because I didn't have to think about food and choices or weigh or measure or plan - just down a shake every two hours **** Lee

    Krzy (crazy) like a person that is hanging their life for the better ! I Love this example of exercise as a Priority! Just as people that have successfully saved $$ for their future - they almost always say that the "pay themselves" first, meaning that $ amount goes right into the 401k fund before anything else happens or can happen. You are "paying yourself" first when you exercise in the morning BERORE anything can "steal" it away. Exercise is the closest thing to a magic pill that exists : ) Way to go!!! Lee

    You on the "secret" ... People always say to me it must take extraordinary things to achieve such a weight loss but I tell them , No... It's actually not about the extraordinary, it's about doing the ORDINARY daily : ) by setting a very do-able goal and adding small incremental increases you are setting yourself up for Victory Frederic, Congrats!     Stuck

    Hi Lavada, I am sure that's frustrating! The general healthy weight loss is 1-3 lbs a week - that's a general rule. The 3 things to exam when "stuck" are the following: 1- food plan (how many calories are you taking in each day - at what time of day and what are they made of, meaning % of protein/carb/fat 2- How much sleep are you getting each night 3- What are you doing for exercise and how many days a weeks and at what time are you doing it. Accumulate this info and you may see your answer right away (like, I don't really know the exact number of calories I am eating or Exercise? Well I don't really have a plan or measure my exercise etc...) If when you look at the info on these three items and you don't see a clear answer then feel free to PM me with the info and I will examine it and provide feedback - if you would like me to.     Sounds like you make time - find the time and I know from your posts exercise is something you embrace. When you say sometimes life gets in the way and you don't work out at all ... How many days or weeks in a row do you go without working out ? Lee

  10. Yes I have the Lapband without which I would not have had the "success" I am enjoying. I explained this to the author but they wanted to focus on the "work" involved, around nutrition, Exercise and sleep ALSO without which I would not have had the "success". It's really not an either/or (WLS or exercise/food plan) it's a BOTH. I view my Lapband like the glasses I need to read - without my glasses I can't read because my vision is blurry (where others don't need glasses) BUT once I put the glasses on I still have to READ (do the work) the book and comprehend it.
