  1. New chapter of my life begins tomorrow! I am completely stoked and cant wait to lead a healthier lifestyle. I am the first case of the day, so I will be probably home by noonish! The past 6 months and especially past 2 weeks made me realize that one relationship I need to truly have to work on is with food. It's no longer going to rule me or dictate my life is headed. I will be! Good luck to all the other people who are going in tomorrow.
  2. The best will be to give them a call.... They will answer all of your questions about that. Every ins is diff.
  3. Same here..I only lost 5 in a week.
  4. Nope mine didn't for me, but he did to my friend and I lost 10 pounds in my 6 months req weight management by ins.
  5. Jealous of your pre-op though!!
  6. Mine was at 40 when I started and he still ha me do the 2 weeks. I think with him there is no exception! He had one patient who didn't follow the diet and her liver was big and broke...he said it was a mess. Don't know if it's true or he is just scaring people to follow their diet lol.
  7. Everyone's body is different. Have you weighed yourself? 3 days for you!
  8. Mine is on the 27th too, but I have to do the 15 days liquid diet!!!! I am always thinking of food..it's bad.
  9. I started in Feb 12 also, and finished my process in July. There was a problem with the Dr Office where they said they applied for the auth but never did! 2 weeks wasted on that, but a week after that my auth was approved, and I am going in for the surgery on Sept 27th. So hang in there!
  10. Congrats and Thank you!
  11. I am on the opposite side ...east coast. In Palm Bay which is 3 hours away from Tampa.
  12. We have the same surgery date! Where are you in Florida?
  13. I have an under active thyroid, and they had me re-do the blood work 6 weeks afterwards to see if there were any changes. To this day they have to adjust my dosage. It's been 2 years since I have been on Synthroid. My insurance approved me b/c even after getting it under control I had hard time losing weight.
  14. Yes it varies from Dr to Dr. I have to do 2 weeks of liquid/protein shake diet.
  15. Weighed in at 191. Down 3 pounds.
  16. It varies from Dr to Dr. Are you talking about Pre-Op or Post-Op?
  17. This is super exciting...though I see that I have lost those 7 pounds in my neck lol. That's the only area I can see any difference in. 5 more days till I get banded!!! 76 pounds more to go! Share your weight loss...especially your pre-op weight loss.
  18. Yes it is very normal. It's the sense of change that makes you feel this way.
  19. Good Luck!!!! Let us know of your experience. Mine is on the 27th. 8 days and I can't wait.
  20. I am not banded yet, but I was diagnosed with under active thyroid and I have had hard time loosing weigght because of it. However, since being on meds I do feel better.
