Time For Paperwork

I was one of the lucky one's who's insurance requires a 6 month diet tracking with a nutritionist. I started this process in 01/12 with the consult, 02/12 to get the Doctor, 03/12 we started the nutritionist meeting, the therapist and food logs. I just finished the 6 months and NOW it's time for my office to submit the paper work to my insurance for the approval for surgery.

I originally thought that I was going to be an October Bander, but now, I have no idea what to expect on when, or even if I will be approved. This is probably the most insecure that I have felt this whole process! This part sucks. I wish I had a date to at least feel comfort in the waiting process. UGH!

I also had to do the 6 month diet consuling. I started officially in January and ended in June. My paperwork all came togetther in early july and I had my surgery on August 7, 2012. So, there is hopes for you to still have it in October! Good Luck

Thank you Rita!! I appreciate that! Just such a long process! Thank you for the support!

I started in Feb 12 also, and finished my process in July. There was a problem with the Dr Office where they said they applied for the auth but never did! 2 weeks wasted on that, but a week after that my auth was approved, and I am going in for the surgery on Sept 27th. So hang in there!

I also just finished my 6-month diet and my appointment with the surgeon isn't until Oct 23!! I was hoping to be banded by the Holidays so we'll see!!

wow... thanks guys. It is so reassuring to hear that other people are on the 6 month plan too. I feel like everyone's process has gone so quick. I appreciate that others are feeling the "hurry up and wait" time frame! Congrats on having dates for surgery guys! I hope to be there with you all soon. Keep me updated on your progress and I am so happy to hear from you guys!

Thanks Again :)
