  1. I think it took AT LEAST a week before I started feeling Normal. Keep walking and sipping. For me the walking was the most effective for the gas pains and soreness.
  2. Wow!! That's incredible! Congrats!
  3. I was banded sept 4 and am down 34 pounds. I feel hungry just like everyone else does but I am satisfied on a MUCH smaller amount if food and I stay satisfied for SO MUCH longer on that small amount than I ever would have before. Yes with the band you have to make the right food choices, get your fills and exercise regularly. I still haven't had a fill yet. Thankfully my surgeon put 5cc in at time of surgery and it seems to have out me in the green zone right away. This doesn't happen for most people. It is ABSOLUTELY the BEST decision I have ever made for my health. For the first time in my life I feel like I am going to reach my goal and STAY there! This forum is a great place to get support and answers and encouragement.
  4. Checking in at 216.7. Down 2.3 for the week. Doesn't look like I'm going to meet my goal for the month but I did meet my exercise goals even through my week off.
  5. WOW!! You look AMAZING!! A total inspiration to me! Thank you or sharing.
  6. That is an awesome NSV!! It's the little things that keep us going when the scale is sometimes a meanie lol
  7. I gave up my morning cup for about two months but once it started getting cold in the mornings I started to crave the warmth of it. So I'm back on the juice. My dr said it was fine to have coffee even in the Clear liquids stage but no creamer. (Which I cannot do!) This is why I originally broke the habit.
  8. I'm 3 months post op and have lost my four year old daughter who weighs 35 pounds. She feels so heavy when I pick her up. Glad that's not always on my body anymore
  9. Wow! It's great to see how wonderfully everyone is doing. Keep up the great work!
  10. I'm sorry to hear your struggling. I am only two months post op and understand how hard it is to fight off the head hunger and boredom eating. I am on myfitnesspal too. Feel free to add me goalseeker32.
  11. Checking in at 219.0. Down only 0.8 lbs. not as much as I was hoping for but at least it's a loss. I'm supposed to start my TOM too so that could've contributed. Gonna be hard to hit my monthly goal of 215 now but I'm not giving up. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  12. I don't have problem with popcorn. I do eat it one kernel at a time though. Try it and see how you do. Enjoy your movie
  13. I teach high school. I had my surgery on a tuesday and was back to work by Monday. I didn't have plication though. That may make recovery longer.
  14. Great article!! Makes me wanna be IN this year's Christmas picture
  15. I am from Riverside county! I was banded 10 weeks ago. My surgeon is in San Diego though. Good luck to you both!
  16. I agree!! I am only doing 30 min 4 times a week. You should be proud of that hour.
  17. Does your Xbox have the kinect? I use mine to workout and they have several different Zumba games.
  18. Checking in for this week at 219.8!! Broke the 20s...I'm so excited! That's 2.9 for the week :-)
  19. I say go for it. It's the best decision I have ever made and I finally feel like I am in control of my weight loss. I wish I had done it sooner.
  20. Jen- I totally understand where you are coming from. Our past deprivation diets were what caused us to be unsuccessful and eventually regain the weight because to us that is not living. I too am looking for that grey area where I can just live life and enjoy food within the boundaries of my band. I have found that I can make better choices at restaurants and at home now. That mentality if I can't have this or that is gone. It's a great feeling. For the first time it truly feels like a lifestyle change. Congrats on conquering your favorite restaurant
