  3. I wasn't complaining about loosing 20 pounds. It was the pain and sob that got me. Went for testing. Looks like stiches may have broke or something and band not in place right causing the stabbing pain and sob. Working on what to do. Sometimes your body and mind tells you something is wrong just don't always know how to listen to it.
  4. Thanks for the replies. I know I need to relax. I called the office Monday about the shortness of breath. They said prob gas. Taking gas x no relief. Worried cause have work next week and what am I going to do if I can't walk down the halway. I am prob all emotions. Just sucks thinking might have made a mistake. The scale shows down 20 pounds and that is not exciting me at all.
  5. Posted a few times with different issues. 8 days post op I know that is not long. But thik I made a mistake. Having pain and shortness of breath it relieved with anything. On creamed soups so not hungry but can't walk with getting short of breath and need to sit. I'm a medical person so I I understand the whole healing process. Have appt with doc next week. How do I bring up options of taking out and how that is done without looking like a failure. I don't want it out know want to give it time. But want to know if I want it out what do I do.
  6. Understand not wanting to tell the whole world right now. You can always say you had dental work done and you can't chew solid foods now.
  7. today I'm 7 days post op. started on creamed soups by md for other reasons But since day one I have had pain tightness fullness mid abdomen. Had no relieved at all. Can't sleep lying down have to sleep sitting up in chair. I don't think I have any fill just placement. Called md office thinks could be gas pain. Has anyone else had or have this.
  8. Spoke to doc today advancede to cream soups. I have been so hungry and thirsty. The cream soup worked well for hunger but can't find anything to quench the thirst feel so dry.
  9. Thanks for the encouragement. Went to a party today was not tempted to eat at all but I know if I was not banded I would have eaten everything there just because. I had torn emotions but in the end I know I did the right thing. The band is the tool I needed to have a healthier life. Have to learn to take each day as it comes. I didn't get fat overnight.
  10. I'm 6 days post op. Pain is getting better Tylenol helping during the day but still need something stronger for night. I've been sleeping sitting up on the couch the gas pain worse lying. Wondering what did I do and thing about my best friend food which I just broke up with. Is this normal. Have been reading some post and many say the first 4 weeks are the worst.
