  1. Dr. Aceves is doing my sleeve on January 5, 2010. I feel free already! Occasionally, I get a wave of "OMG, what am I doing?!?" But, it passes quickly. Today, I went to the bank, drained my savings, and got a cashier's check for the surgery. Hmmmmm, my life savings is saving my life! I had no problem withdrawing the money. It just felt right. I look forward to telling you all about my experience!
  2. I leave for San Diego this Monday and my surgery date is January 5, 2010, with Dr. Aceves! Most of me is very excited but my husband's stress is bringing me down. He looks like he wants to cry every time I talk about it. He hates the 'surgery' idea and he hates the Mexico idea even more. He hasn't slept in three days. I told him not to stress me out so he is being good. But, I can see it in him. He can never understand how this will free me. My every waking moment is about my weight. I wake up feeling guilty because of yesterday's unhealthy choices then I go to sleep with a plan to start fresh in the morning. You know how it is! My dream would be for my husband to have the surgery himself. If I had to guess, I would think his BMI is around 46. He is such a wonderful person and I want him to be healthy with me. Okay, so back to me. I just want to fast forward to the day after surgery and get on with my life! I am so excited. Yes, also very scared. I will be going alone because my husband's Passport is expired. I have known this for a few weeks but I did not mention it because I think it is better if he stays home. All of you have been my lifesaver and you don't even know it. Thank you for taking the time to post. I have found such comfort in reading your messages. I will check in and keep you posted every step of the way.
  3. Thank you for the advice. I just called Verizon and changed my plan for the month. I would have never thought to do it. Thank you!
