Its been almost a year, i felt extremely tired and couldnot concentrate on things & blamed everything on being fat ...this is when i am 5'4 and 94kgs... Now i know why it was so So, how will the B12 rise, i am having sugery on Monday so what after the surgery?

  5. Hi Neil,,Welcome to the Gang,,5 weeks and 52 pounds is a very good number, gr8 going. I am per-op for now, might have it done on 13th Dec in Mumbai. Which hospital in Rajkot did you get your surgery done from?
  6. Greek is just the concentrated form,, so when you strain home made yogurt the concentrated protein will be left in the cloth after the watery part is strained away, hence more protein. My Nut said, home made yogurt is as good -- infact better, because we can make plain yogurt & mix whatever we wish to have with it at that very moment - wether its vanilla; fruit extract or just pepper.
  7. I am a Vegetarian & i have the same question -- getting sleeved on 14th Dec
  8. You have made a grand choice - Be Proud !!! To know, that one, is morbidly obese, needs to do something & to accept, that we need help:its time -- are two different sides of the spectrum, so you have crossed the most difficult barrier,, so get that surgery, work with your sleeve & get ready to welcome a new you !!!!! The forums here will tell you all you need to know, more than your doctor & then you being a nurse yourself will be the topping on the cake. So All the Very Best !!!! All the Very Best
  9. Hi Michelle, I have only one word for u -- go get it done, you will have to work with the sleeve, but work your life out for a year & believe you me, your life will change. My sister has hypothyroidism,225lbs 13months ago,got the surgery ,ate only Proteins, worked out for 2hours a day +cycled atleat an hour a day + did 400crunches every day -- today she is at 121pounds. Its changed her life so drastically, that i too am going in for the surgery in Dec
  10. HI, I am getting a sleeve on 13th dec, i weigh 209lbs,5'5inches tall and 25yrs of age -- i have no help on the gyming front, thus i shall be grateful if you could help me. Me and my parents stay in different cities and i plan to go home to them on 16th Dec, 3days after the surgery and shall be back to my city of work on 31st dec so i will have access to a gym only from 1st Jan 2013. What should be my game plan immediately after the surgery, should i go for long walks twice a day while im back home, my dad goes walking so i will have company too. I also plan to start cycling, how soon will you recommend that, what else should i do in the 3weeks that follow surgery, when i will not have access to a gym.
  11. HI,,I have been through it, infact, just daybefore, when i went to the gym to talk about about my post op detoxing to help surgery recuperation, its the best fitness center in the city & the manager with the counceller made me sit down for good 1.5hrs telling me that i could do it all, 90 pounds insnt too much too loose and i will be out healthy in a year ..who will tell them that i have spent 10 out of my 25yrs on earth trying all that & only when the realization has hit that "I Need an Intervention" , that im going out & getting my stomach cut. They do it because they think we are lazy, afraid of working out & taking an easy way out.....so it is for us to stick to our guts, quash away such thoughts, for comeone, it has already taken us long enough to "accept" that we need it. So worry not, go get it done & then excercise your way to "healthy you"
