Any suggestions on good protein shakes? I have to be on a 4 week protein shake diet ???‘

So I went in for my one on one with my surgeon and he said the lap band doesn't work for everyone. I'm so confused now because everyone I've been talking to says the Sleeve is a better choice and I will lose weight much faster. ???• Now I'm just confused and don't know what procedure I should do. My date is set for February 27th and I have to be on an all liquid diet for 4 weeks ???‘ frustrated !

Hi! I also have Cigna and I was wondering after you got approved what's the next step? Are you waiting on the coordinator to have your surgery scheduled?

Thank you.. I finally got my referral from Cigna prospect to see a bariatric but before anything Cigna required me to have a Psy evaluation and 6 weeks of nutritional classes.. I see the surgeon next week hopefully it won't be a stressful process after that :/

I have cigna as well.. its been a long process! What steps did they require you to take before getting approved?

I also have cigna with no co-morbidilies. I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes but my BMI is 55.4. Today was my one on one with my nutristionist and I asked him if I would have a hard time getting approved. He said no because my BMI is extremely high and im 100 pounds over weight.

I also have cigna and i don't have diabetes or high blood pressure but my bmi is extremely high at 56. Im in the process, going to my nutritional classes and doing everything the insurance requires. Hopefully ill get approved and they wont make it difficult or deny me :/

Thanks to all of you for the information! I have Cigna and before I even get to see the bariatric surgeon I have to have a psy evaluation and six sessions with a nutritionist. Then once my doctor has all the papers from the psy evaluation and nutritionist he'll submit everything to my insurance once I complete all of it to see if im approved. I feel like the insurance is doing everything so different and weird! I thought I would see the bariatric first then from there do everything else. I went for my psy evaluation last week and it was less than 30 minutes. I really thought it would be longer than that.

What about nipple piercings?

How long is this process with Cigna ? I have my psy evaluation tomorrow and I'm nervous and scared to what they will ask as well as my first nutritionist class .. What should I expect ?
