Hi everyone, My Peer review was actually an APPEAL!? Does anyone know anything about appeals? The surgery coordinator said, it can take up to 45 days... Also, I was told that out of all the Tricares, TriWest was the most difficult to get approval. Now I'm really worried! The waiting is horrible! Thank you!

Never heard why I was denied. Surgeon did a peer to peer on the 13th & I've been waiting impatiently....UGH, this has been really emotional! Thank you to ALL for the support! (((HUGS)))

The surgeon that I go to does not have a pre op diet. I've done all the labs, psych eval, 6mos supervised diet etc... Did your dr. do the peer to peer yet?

Still waiting.....I guess Mon. won't be happening! Have you heard anything?

My surgeon did mine on the 13th.......Still waiting to hear from them! I'm scheduled for surgery Mon. the 19th... Wishing US lots of luck!

Hi everyone, I was denied for the surgery & my surgeon is requesting a Peer to Peer....Is this the normal process? Also, is it effective? Do they normally overturn it? Any help in this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks everyone for being supportive & positive. I'm so stressed but, I know in my heart this is suppose to happen for me! I have a young child that I want to be here for....So I'm not giving up that easy! (((HUGS)))

So I went on the Tricare website today & saw.....NOT APPROVED! I cannot even begin to tell you how upset I am! My surgeons office didn't even know until I called them. So we won't know the reason until tuesday...I sure hope this turns around, my surgery was scheduled for Nov. 19th!
