I was denied for the surgery & my surgeon is requesting a Peer to Peer....Is this the normal process? Also, is it effective? Do they normally overturn it?

Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm glad your surgeon is fighting for you. Your family doctor might be able to assist you as well, especially if you have medical problems that are being caused by excessive weight.
