  12. i too went through the 6 month journey and hoops required by insurance. reading your story i sooo can relate and i pray that everything works out for you. now i know every center is different and i TOO gained 6 pounds during my journey but i was able to lose it all back by the time i was submitted. do you know if your surgeons office requires weight loss? it really comes down to them because my insurance never specified any type of weight loss, they just wanted to see that i was cleared for everything and actually going to the dietitian once a month. honestly i would double check w/ your surgeons office to see if the weight loss is a for sure requirement before doing surgery. i am excited for you and wish you the best of luck. trust me if it is meant to be it will be~~ i was accused of possibly having behavioral health issues BECAUSE i called my insurance every day waiting on approval. lol turns out i documented every time i called and specifically why. i was finally approved and now im getting sleeved the day after my birthday~ im not gonna lie, now that im approved i am VERY emotional, my brother is getting married 11 days after surgery and i have to travel really far to see him, my parents just got a divorce 3 years ago and just traveling with my daughter, trying to decide which parent 2 travel with is hard enough BUT i know God's has a plan for all of us, he wouldnt bring us this far if we werent destined to succeed~! good luck and it will go by faster than you know. i pray that you getting approved really fast
  13. i start my liquid diet oct 27th with some food allowed. but i just keep in my head i REALLY dont want my surgeon to open me up. and the purpose of the liq diet is to shrink your liver. try to stay in that mentality i knoooooow it is hard but you can do it!!!!!
  14. good luck to you in your journey and your upcoming surgery my daughter is 2 years old and i too have a hard time keeping up with her. i want to be around for her strong and energetic. i am getting sleeved november 6th the day after my 26th birthday!!! im ecstatic and so ready for the life change this forum is AMAZING and wonderful support. i also downloaded the app which im up on until 2am every night lmao. well ALmost. you will find tons of amazing people with knowledge and insight to help you here. welcome!!!!
  15. i went through the same thing! i just switched doctors in the same practice and got the ball rolling!! i would have been 2 months ahead of the game because i though you had to have the referral before starting all the crazy pre op appointments but my surgeons office told me no. i got my referral letter literally 2 months before submitting to insurance good luck to you, dont torture urself meeting with someone who you dont feel comfortable and cant relate to! <3
  16. my preop diet is for 10 days and specifically says on the paper work (not to lose weight but to shrink your liver) mine isnt that bad either. im aloud one protein yogurt, veggie and 2oz of meat (chicken or turkey) a day. the rest is protein shakes, water and crystal light etc. every surgeon and center is different. good luck in your deicison!!!! but hey congrats on your weight loss so far!!! 75 pounds is ALOT!!!!!
  17. kinda off subject does anyone else have to do blood work and one more appointment with your PCP?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!

  22. I lost 60 pounds on my own 2 years ago with no loose skin at all. But I'm now about to be 26 and just had a baby 2 yrs ago so who knows what ill end up looking like LOL. I just did cardio and weights. If u have a gym membership they should offer one free personal training session so I would meet with them.and tell ur story. Ask the best workout routines to avoid loose skin not always guaranteed but will help tone Sent from my Samsung Admire using VST
  23. Hi Jane! There is a section on here band to sleeve revision I changed my mind half way through as well because of the fills etc. Also a friend has it and u really can't tell she has gained a lot back. I wish u best if luck in ur decision but I feel the sleeve is better than bypass if u were. Considering that. The band scares me LOL I think if u visit the topic and read people's experienced u will feel more confident in ur decision. Sent from my Samsung Admire using VST
