Thanks guys! I appreciate your suggestions. I was mainly eating the premier bars. I have switched to a Detour bars. Problem solved! These do have more carbs but I only eat one a day.
-
I like switching between Protein Bars and drinks. But Protein bars tend to give me gas. Does this happen to anyone else? And have you found a Protein Bar that doesn't have that effect?

PJ713- I'm in this situation now. What worked?

U mean city centre ? Lol
Actually downtown! I had my surgery in Mexico too but with Dr Joya. Are you doing any follow up in Houston?

Houston City Center checking-in; 10 days post op

I would think you would not want a colonic so close to surgery. I have had them since surgery as I have not found a good solution to the ongoing Constipation. Taking magnesium daily will help. Also' date=' milk of magnesia can be helpful. Good luck![/quote']Thanks; just took milk of magnesia. I'll try the magnesium too.

if you can find somewhere to get some kangen water' date=' you could drink that.. it changes the molecules in the Water & remineralizes it (brings it back to "life" so to speak) and long story short, it has a very easily digestible & easy to assimilate form of magnesium in it.. which magnesium makes you poop.. and because it is Water, it will help hydrate you... killing 2 birds with 1 stone. actually 3, because it is alkalized, and you want your body to be alkalized.. it helps you heal faster, repair yourself faster & keep bad stuff from growing in you.. if you have an alkalized body, cancer won't grow in it & etc.. so that's definitely worth checking out.. because you're so constipated, i'd start out at the top alkalized number.. you'll blow the bowl out of the toilet for a day or two, but you'll be so thankful to get that junk out of your body!alternately, you could get some magnesium powder.. same sort of effect, without the cool water. lol you can buy it at health food stores, like whole foods & akin's or whatever.
edit:
you can also pick up some xylitol & use that as a sweetener. it's a natural alternative to sugar & one of the benefits of it is that it's a natural laxative.. it's got all sorts of Vitamins and stuff in it, too.. http://www.livingfuel.com/TheraSweet.aspx << where you can buy some. [/quote']
Thank you very much. I will try both.

Me too. I'm 8 days post op.

You can try it' date=' but dilute it first.. Not only is it entirely too sweet, it's also incredibly acidic and tough on the tummy...[/quote']
Thank you!
