    Bad Habit

That is a pretty good idea. I'm a sucker for post it notes. My husband hates seeing them on the door when I make a note about what I need to pick up. An alarm on my phone might not be a bad idea.

You can even go to their website and look at the drinks. They usually have a cooler where you can buy singles and try them out. Just read the labels and make sure it won't tank any of the guidelines you are given by your dr. You'll have to let me know if you find anything good.

    How Can I Be Hungry?

I asked my Dr about the hunger after my surgery because I was shocked. My surgery was running behind by 5 hours so I was starving when I went in and not hungry when I came out and I was like WTH. I didn't know that was going to happen. He said it varies from person to person and may or may not come back. The time in which it might come back varies too. I would ask your NUT about the food and your Dr about the hunger pains.

The bodytech is a powder, but they may have premade. Do they have Vitamin Shoppe near you? They carry over 100 different items under ready made protein drinks.

I keep a shaker ready to go with water in it and protein measured out in baggies so I can grab and go. If I'm going anywhere where I'm not sure how long I'll be gone or when I'll get to eat, I take one. I usually grab the ready made IsoPure at the gym if I get super shaky or as a treat once in a while. Have you tried the fruit flavored IsoPure mixes? Are they good if you have?

    Bad Habit

I'm 20 months post op and I'm doing good to get in the liquid amount that I do. I still eat super tiny meals, but I eat very slowly and stop the min I start feeling full. I can still only drink 4 oz of a Protein shake at a time. I might try upping my water intake and nixing the tea and see how I do.

I personally prefer the powder to the premade shakes. I associate premade with processed foods (silly I know) but I check and compare the amount of sodium and the ingredients in them. IsoPure premade drinks have the exact same ingredients as the powders of those flavors.

I like the BodyTech Chocolate (Vitamin Shoppe Brand), then IsoPure, then Unjury. I actually like Vanilla and Chocolate for BodyTech. The IsoPure powders I have used are unflavored, dutch choc, and vanilla (all good). I also like the premade fruit drinks IsoPure has, but the have to be ice cold and stay that way. I've tried every kind of Unjury and other than the soup ones I like them all. I just wish they were larger.

    Bad Habit

I drink between 50 and 60 oz of water a day. I'm afraid if I drink more I'll float. I allow myself one small cup of coffee on days when I really need it and one cup of tea or juice a day. I was drinking a lot of decaf iced tea and not enough water at one point which is why I restrict myself now. How much water do you drink a day on avg?

This might be one of those it's different for everyone things. I just wish I knew when I started doing that. I know I had a problem with using straws that popped up out of no where and that was easy to break. I just got rid of all of my straws lol.

Thanks, I tried searching for it in the forums and couldn't find anything. I don't know that I eat more, I put the recommended amounts of food on my plate (I still measure everything out) and can't finish them. My husband told me to use the snap myself with a rubber-band trick. It was just one of those things that dawned on me and I really couldn't remember the reason behind it, so the info you gave me helps a lot.
  14. Count down to Jason Mraz Concert has begun!!!

  15. Mike's Health Collection at White and 75 in McKinney has some good stuff too. That is where my mom finds all of her goodies.
  16. See and unflavored is more a gamble to me. Sometimes unflavored really isn't unflavored. I found that out the hard way once, luckily it was a sample. I can't remember what brand it was, but I got it in a support group meeting.

    Addict!

Probably one of the better addictions to have lol.
  18. I just realized that is Syntrax, that isn't want the ones I saw looked like. Maybe it was just different packaging, but I don't remember seeing the writing that way. Very odd. They told me to come back for the bars I was wanting today because they are expecting more, so I'll take another look.
  19. LOL that's some dangerous territory. I've never tried that brand, so I can't really say if it is good or bad. I would look at reviews on the brand if you can find them before buying it. Good thing is it is reasonably priced.

    Taking Imodium

I haven't tried Imodium, but other meds I now have every side effect. I'm afraid to take anything lol. I took steroids for my knee inflammation, no biggie I've done it before, but not since surgery. I was so miserable. Same thing with allergy medication, it's horrible. I have noticed when I have a headache and take advil my headache goes away quickly, but can sometimes come back a few hours later.

    Any Dallas Area Sleevers?

I bet you are excited/scared/nervous all at once lol. I know I was. I love your name, a friend of mine owned a bar in Tulsa called the Funny Farm.

    Unjury- Soup?!?!

I was really burned out on protein drinks and trying anything and everything at one point. Now I just accept it as something I have to do and when I'm really feeling brave I mix it into a morning fruit smoothie (fresh fruit does not cover the taste very well). My husband tried to mix it in his coffee once, it was all clumpy and so gross.
  24. IsoPure does make pre-made Fruit drinks but they don't taste anything like Gatorade. They taste the best to me when they are ice cold, the minute they are warm I can't drink them. I use unflavored powder. I've tried unjury and liked it, I just don't like the size of the tub and the price. I did go by the Vitamin Shop at Park and the Tollway in Plano and they do have the Syntrax brand that O.T.R. mentioned. I know it was less than IsoPure but I forgot the price Sorry. I was after some wafer bars lol and they didn't have the kind I like. Unfortunately they are very popular and go quickly and I was one day too late.
  25. IsoPure is probably one of the more pricey brands. I think it's about 30, but they may have other brands. At the time I went to find it they were sold out of all other brands so I've just stuck with it because I like it.
