  3. Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the input. I do know that they more dense food I eat the longer I stay full. I am loving beans and cheese right now! lol I am only a few lbs from goal and can't wait! Most days I am getting about 1000 calories in.. So I guess I am right on track.
  4. I am 9 months out and was wondering if there is a chart or something out there that tells me exactly how many calories a day we should be eating. The nutritionist at my doctors office said 1300 to 1800 depending on activity level. I thought that kinda sounded like a lot. What are your thoughts and I would love to hear from people that are a year or two out and what they are eating! Thanks

    Afraid of regain....

I am almost 9 months and down a total of 100 lbs (87since surgery). I have noticed recently that I am able to eat a little more than I was able to. I am so scared of gaining my weight back... I think. Do I drink my Water too fast, did I eat a little too much that time? Did I get all my Protein in? And I am stressing myself out... What does everyone else eat at 9 months out! Does anyone have the same fears?

    Afraid of regain....

Thank you so much, that was very helpful.... So whatever the BMR says I need to maintain, my goal calories should be 75-85% ? Great at least I have a number I can follow!!
  7. Pre-op wasn't bad. Post op SUCKED! I thought several time during the first month or two that I shouldn't have done the surgery but not being 7 months out, I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made.. I am down 98 lbs and feel GREAT! Good luck on the 28th!
  8. When is ur surgery? Are you having it at Doctors hospital? It's a small hospital but I liked all my nurses except one midnight nurse... Good luck and feel free to ask me any questions... The one thing I really liked about Dr. Pleatman is that he will let you watch your surgery in his office. Not many dr's will do that!
  9. I also had my surgery done with Dr. Pleat man!!
  10. I used Dr. Pleatman. I listed him as my Dr on where, weird that you weren't able to find that. I read a lot reviews the only bad thing I really saw was that he had a dry personality but he was very nice to me and even cracked a joke. Every time I had a question or problem he always got right back with me. My surgery was 7/27/12
  11. I can never just do a plain shake. But I do like the click mocha one, I got it on amazon. My other 2favorites... I take 1 scoop vanilla protein shake put about 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries and a cup of water and blend.. Or I will do a school of chocolate w ice cubes, a cup of water and a spoon full of peanut butter...

    2 Year Anniversary

I am currently 3 months out and lost 64 lb since surgery 78 total. I am struggling a little with the whole did I eat to much, did I stretch my stomach out again, am I gonna gain? I think its because it feels different when u eat and the fullness isn't the same as before. Did u ever struggle like this and how did u deal?
  13. I have had a little pain under my left rib, every once in a while since my surgery. Well last weekend I woke up in so much pain and eneded up in the hospital for 3 days... after a ton of test and drugs. The only thing they would find was that I had inflammation in the tissue over my stomach and bowels. But couldn't tell me why. I am in sooo much pain I can't stand it. Has anyone else had a problems? I feel like I have to diagnose myself!

    To The Moms Out There

The eating thing gets better with time. I remember my first month out, I was wondering what I did to my self. Then I got my fall clothes out and they are all too big!!!! I know I couldn't have done it on my own
  15. I am so excited, I am down 51 lbs since my highest recorded and am thrilled to announce that I am wearing several rings I haven't been able to wear in years and I have to take my watch in to get 2 links taken out!!!!

    To The Moms Out There

The first couple weeks are rough when you are doing the whole liquid/pureed but now that I am 5 weeks out, I am feeling a lot better. I can eat most things that the family can eat. I have a TON more energy and you learn quickly what you can and can't eat anymore. The kids knew that I had surgery and were very careful not to jump on my tummy. Feel free to email with ANY questions you have.. Good Luck!!!

    To The Moms Out There

I have a 6 year old and twin 3 year olds. I had my surgery for the exact same reason you did. I had my surgery on Friday 7/27 and my husband went back to work Monday. I was slow for the first week but after that I was fine. I would just plan on not driving for a while. Sitting up straight for to long seemed to bother me a little. My only concern would be if you are breastfeeding. If so, you might have to have enough "stock" until you get off your pain meds...

    Michigan Doctor

He was my Dr. I was sleeved on July 27th 2012. I have read alot of post about his dry personality. But I thought he was very nice and professional. When I have questions and email him, I always get a response back a.s.a.p. I really liked him. I have also met a few other patients in his office and they all seem to like him as well!
  19. My surgery was 7/27 and I have lost 29.5 lbs. I have been at that weight for almost a week!!!! I am worried that I won't be able to get the rest of my weight off. Any suggestions???? PLEASE!!!
