  1. For some reason i have read a lot about Cigna denying ppl on the first submission but on the 2nd or 3rd submission they typically approve, so you are not alone and def keep pushing girl! We can do this.
  2. Sweetncurvy, yes how long did UHC take once submitted to them? I too have them as my provider. Also can you share your bmi and if you had any co-morbidities? thanks in advance!
  3. Yes Misty...if anyone can give you strength it's Him. You should sign into the E-waiting room if you feel froggy. There's tons of encouragement and support there as you make it through your time in the hospital. God bless and we walk talk to you after the procedure!

  9. Debbie, you are doing great! I don't think I have ever lost 68lbs in 6 months...wait...I've never lost 68lbs period. Pat yourself on the back for how far you have come and all the new things you can do now. Keep up the good work!
  10. Looking good Robbie ....keep it up man!
  11. whoops...didn't mean to send. so anywho, most are sympathetic/ empathetic. Then this one person posts..."things were so easy for me, its like I walked in one day and 3 days later I was in surgery"..!!! And that was it!!! That's all she had to share. I was thinking to myself....WTF just happened. Now I didn't go in hard, but I did ask for 'clarity' in what she was contributing to the convo. All that to say, this is an emotional process and most ppl are responding with emotions more so than tons of logic and rationale at times.
  12. I will say that i am 98% supportive, but I have no patience for insensitive people. I am was very upset one day sharing how I was being jerked around etc and how I was becoming emotional, I mean I was about to jump off the curb.. yada yada yah . So much of my VST fam
  13. Hi Dreamofskinny, my info will be submitted next week to UHC and i will let you know how it goes!

  15. So how is everyone after surgery. At this very moment I am sitting in the drs. office waiting for my clearance letter to be signed. They have sat on this thing for a month and I decided it was time to drive 40 miles to make an appearance! Smh ... anyway...how is everyone?
  16. Ohh...thanks for your support teachbear, I truly appreciate it! How are you feeling since taking out the drain? Are you still on leave?
  17. Congrats sbekch, wishing you well in your journey!
  18. Welcome Sheree, Im actually with Atlanta Bariatrics and Dr. Titus Duncan is my surgeon but I think there are a few ppl here that went through that organization. I would check back through the threads and maybe direct the question to specific ppl. Good luck and again welcome, glad to have you!
  19. Thanks for listening shavy ...I know things will work out, it's it's just frustrating at times...gotta get it out!
  20. On a separate note, I cannot express how disappointed I am with my PCP's office. I have been awaiting my clearance letter for almost a month now. They've dropped the ball on a couple of things and from there excuses excuses. I am now having to wait on one of her staff members to return from leave to compose the letter. She is out having the same type of surgery!!!! and will be back Wed. Meanwhile I can't even get my advocate to call me back, just keep getting the call center staff. SMDH ...Does anyone give a f%#@ anymore?! ugh
  21. Welcome Crystal and Determinedgirl, We are out here. Lots of people in various stages. I myself am currently fighting the waiting game of getting my medical clearance from my physician. It's been one excuse after another for her office not getting to it...then the holidays hit and well she's been out for weeks and won't be back until Monday. If my letter is not done this week I'll reach out to Dr. Duncans office and see what my next plan of action should be. That's my story so far. Again welcome!
