I concur ...the atty suggestion sounds a little off base. I would seek out a new surgeon and also use the search tool on this site using the keyword 'appeal' to see what others have done. God speed

I started my preop the first week of December but I had to come off of it after a month while they dragged their feet. Its just protein shakes and two small meals of protein and veggies. Then i have to do two days of clear liquids just before the surgery. I will call to find out the date tomorrow.

I called ins today and they told me to call back Wed to check for an update. My procedure has been scheduled for next week but I don't know what date. Guess I will find out wed.

Marie I called ins today and the rep confirmed its still pending and apparently my surgeon has assigned a date of next week for my procedure so I have to call back Wed. I'm a little anxious but this is what we have been working towards!

Hi GAmom...yes my insurance covered the cost, but I wasn't certain it would at the time so I didn't fill out the credit card request form attached to the paperwork for just that reason. Wasn't trying to get billed for an undetermined cost! I think they should let you know the cost up front so you can compare and shop around. FYI- Ms.Pitts.

Shay, unfortunately the lameness (I know that's not a word...lol) started early in the process back in the summer. My advocate NEVER initiated contact and at times even if i left her messages ro give me a call it didn't happen. I know only one other person who had a fantastic experience out of over 10 people I know personally. Not a good trend. Im hoping to get this over and done with in the next month or so as my confidence in this office has dwindled to a "cautiously optimistic"

Ha ha...girl I meant you could give me a call. I typically use my phone when im logged in so I don't have all functionality unless Im on the computer. Not even certain if there is a way to do live chat here. On a separate note I think they are all lazy. My advocate would rarely call me back. Thank heavens at this juncture I don't think I need her anymore. I think they are under staffed and need to add more folks.

Hi Ms.Pitts, I used the one they provided, Dr. Walfish. Who is your advocate? Charlene? I had to go off Tues and escalated my issues to the office manager. Let me know if you wanna chat live and I will send you my info via message. I have been very disappointed with this office over the past couple of months and would certainly not recommend them at this time to anyone.

My file was finally submitted to ins. today! Very happy....just waiting on.those three wonderful words.. YOU ARE APPROVED!

My file has finally been passed onto insurance!!! Thank you Lord. Hopefully they won't take too long approving. I have UHC and from a lot of threads it appears they respond quickly. We shall see!
