Hi all! I was sleeved 12/10.
The start of my journey I was 332.
Day of surgery 300
Today I'm 260!
Down a total of 71lbs (40 of that since surgery).
Overall i think I'm doing great. Some days are better than others. Some days I have trouble getting all my fluids in. But I always get my Protein and Vitamins in.
The last 8 days I was on a business trip to Atlanta. A couple days we had to eat out. Went to steak and shake one day on our way to the client and I got a chees burger with no mayo and I took off the top bun. I ate just a little more than half.
2 other times we ate at a bbq place. And again I tried to pick the healthiest options. Even with that though 6 months ago I would of easily eaten a double cheeseburger meal with a large fry and a large coke. That day I had half of a single with no top bun. So it's definitely an improvement!
And any time I can lose 71lbs I'll take it

Woohoo! Good luck. Keep us posted.

Did your hospital give you a bear or other stuffed animal to press against your tummy? That's what I used the first few weeks postop to help when I sneezed or coughed.

Oh and I have a desk job. I was out from 12/10 and returned in 12/26. So 2 weeks.

When i went on leave for my surgery my paperwork stated that I was having surgery. It didn't say what kind. When I returned my return to work slip just said abdominal surgery and no heavy lifting until the end if January. HR never asked what I had done.
Now I'm trying g to get aflac to pay me for being out for those 2 weeks. We shall see

I'm no help. I followed what my doctor said to follow. Felt it was for my own safety. Is this for preop?

Couldn't agree more! Sex post op and now down a total of almost 70lbs has made a HUGE difference in our sex life.
While going through the preop steps from end of august until getting sleeved 12/10 I just wasn't into it at all. Partial due to stress partially due to I just felt disgusted with myself and sex wasn't fun anymore.
But now.... We are doing things we never did before! Love my "chewie"

Hey all. I did not read through all the posts but seems like everyone is doing great! Congrats to you all!
I was sleeved 12/10. I'm down a total of 69lbs. 37lbs since surgery the rest was preop. I was doing my own little diet in prep of surgery. And then lost 15 on the liquid diet.
I find some days I'm hungrier than others. I have been slipping up a bit. Letting a few more carbs in than I would like. But I find I feel better if I have some.
I'm trying to start working out more but my schedule is crazy and I'm just exhausted at the end of the day. But I'll get it figured out.
Keep up the good work!

I was sleeved 12/10 and all I did was burping the first week. I never passed gas until a week or a week in a half postop.

Glad you called!

Have you had a bm recently? I was told if I had distention to call my surgeon. I know you have no other symptoms but can't hurt to call if you're worried about it. Hope you feel better.

Just a update. Sleeved on December 17 and have lost 93 pounds so far and still going. Feeling great lot more energy. Best decision ever made93 since surgery? How the hell did you do that lol.
Good job by the way.

I'm a freak and had no pain with either. The nurses for both procedure were dumbfounded.
My c section they did not cut through my muscle so I'm assuming that made a big difference. And for the sleeve I had single site incision. Never had pain with either.

That's what mine said too. And I had to use that awful smelly antibacterial body wash. O_o
Same here. No shaving for 48hrs before and had to shower twice with hibicleanse.

That was supposed to read "do share the recipe"

Wendys recipe is really good! My wife found the recipe somewhere (shhh..) and can make it at home. We make up a big pot of it and we have chili in the freezer for at least 6 months. For Seattle locals' date=' my favorite chile when eating out is Blazin Onion. So good!!! There is one in mill creek and snohomish as well As gig harbour.[/quote']For share the recipe

Pammycakes, now the real question is.. Did you wake up in the same gown you went into surgery with?
I had that realization about 6 weeks postop and got so disgusted. I know I was sprawled out on that table butt ass naked. I got tiny girls so I'm sure there was no taping going on for me lol.
Hope surgery went well!

I say if you want it go for it. And I agree adopting a dog at pet smart... It's easier to get a kid. We got denied twice. Then I went to a shelter .
But they are a huge commitment. Do you travel a lot? Work long hours? Able to walk/play with the dog? Some things to think about. And yearly vet visits and food. Things people over look

And that was only for the 24 hours prior to surgery. During my 2 week preop liquid diet is could drink and eat any color. But that day before no red or purple according to my surgeon.

Call the hospital and ask. I would want to know bc they make you take off all your clothes when you put the gown on. And I don't know if you csn use a tampon. Just call
