I would definitely call your dr. In the interm probably go back to liquids or full liquids. Do those bother you at all? I would also focus on water so you don't dehydrate. But definitely give your dr a call.

Do I really need to go to the ER...?

Glad all is well! Get some rest and keep focusing on fluids . -
Never had hip pain in my life, was sleeved 12/10 and since I started losing weight (down 55lbs total) my hips hurt when I walk. I have a desk job so they typically hurt when I first get up. Once I get moving they are fine. I'm chalking it up to the weight loss and my body adjusting to the center of gravity changing. Anyone else experience hip pain? I don't have arthritis, never had this until after surgery and some weight loss took place. I see my surgeon in a week so I will ask him then.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to Google it tonight and look on some other sites. I can't be the only one with this. -

I think my nightmare has come true.....

It's still early and maybe your body is still adjusting? Did you lose weight preop? Someone recently told me to have my female hormones checked. If you estrogen and progesterone are out of whack sometimes your body won't lose. Just a thought. -
is sleeve healthy or starvation?
ShrinkyDinkMe22 replied to Karishero's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm newly sleeved but I don't believe that. You definitely can't eat the amounts you used to eat. I think it allows you to eat a sensible sized meal. There is no reason for anyone to be eating multi burger, fries, lrg coke, etc at one meal. That's a lot of food and calories. I think by a year out (I could be wrong) but most people are eating around 1200 or more a day. Doesn't sound like starvation to me. At the beginning maybe a smidge as you are only taking in about 600 a day, but it's short term and yiu work up to more. So no I don't think it's starvation at all. But that's my opinion. -
Dry-heaving and the staple line
ShrinkyDinkMe22 replied to 2013isit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I woke up from surgery i had the heaves. All through the night and into the next morning. I also threw up the lortab the first time they gave it to me and then I refused to take it. They were rotating my anitnausea meds and I also had that patch behind my ear. The hospital I was at didn't seem to be concerned about the heaves hurting my sleeve at the time (sleeved 12/10/12). -
It's so strange to me to see the dramatic changes of women's breast during weight loss/gain. Mine NEVER EVER change. I'm really thinking I'm a freak. They didn't get bigger as I got heavier. They never changed when I was pregnant with my daughter 3 yrs ago. But sadly I couldn't nurse either. But yeah to be my size and have a B cup is pretty funny. It's very hard to find bras that fit me.

How did you decide on your doctor?
ShrinkyDinkMe22 replied to newme31's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too am in the Chicago area and I went with the Kane center, Dr rantis. I felt very comfortable with him. He had great reviews/write ups online. And I trusted him. They've also been doing wls for a long time so that was a piece of mind for me as well. During my stay in met Dr guske and he was great as well. Took a lot of time with me and answered questions for me while in hospital. -
In a stall and FREAKING OUT!
ShrinkyDinkMe22 replied to Lauren610's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been stalled since 12/23 and it's getting very frustrating. Sleeved 12/10 and lost 16lbs that first week and a half. Then nothing. -
In less than 10 hours I will have my sleeve.

Dec 10th sleeves? How are you?
ShrinkyDinkMe22 replied to gingerRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I should add that I am happy with my progress thus far even though the scale and me are not getting along right now. I'm down 50 total since august, 17 of that since surgery. -

Down 17 total, haven't lost anything since 12/23 :-(. -
A little discouraged
ShrinkyDinkMe22 replied to ashleywi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Feel the same. I was sleeved 12/10 . On Dos I was 300 exactly. The scale has not moved since 12/23. I'm following everything to a T, and still nothing. I try to look at the big picture bc overall with my own plan prior to surgery, liquid preop and surgery I'm down 50lbs. But I still though the initial loss would be quicker. Positive thoughts! -
I agree 100%,there are nasty people here. I don't think quit as bad as baby center ad those were some crazy ass hormonal women. But from my experience the same people on here are just nasty. Some would think if they are that annoyed with the site or posts they would just stop coming here. I didn't come around for a while bc they nastiness was unreal. You couldn't ask anything without it turning into a fight. Sometimes part of the problem is the same question get asked over and over as new people come to the board. I'm not saying that makes anything right or wrong but sometimes I think that determines what some people respond with. And like others said you can't detect tone in text . Take this site with a grain of salt.

how long will this stall last?
ShrinkyDinkMe22 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Was sleeved 12/10 lost 16lbs the first week and a half. Haven't lost a thing since. Some days it goes up a pound or so then we'll come back down. But hasn't gone any lower than my initial lowest. I've been following my plan, I'm on purees now, should I be concerned or is this normal? I was thinking maybe I would call my nut on Monday just to check with them. Any thoughts? I hear about the 3 week stall how long does it last? -
