    Frustrated....

Hi, my name is Amanda, and I have decided on getting the lap-band surgey. I am so frustrated because I am paying for it myself (my husband and I are). I have considered Mexico, and really dont think thats an option for me. It seems like it is taking forever to save the money up, we have saved almost half but, I am ready to get this done so I can begin a healthier life. Neither myself or my husband qualify for loans, because we don't have enough credit. Does anyone else have any suggestions? All comments are appreciated. Thanks!
  4. You can do it! Obviously this is whats best for you, or you would have never considered it! Don't get cold feet! We are cheering you on! Good luck on your journey!
  5. Thank you....Does th diarrhea and constipation, last for life? I hope not....
  6. Hi my name is Amanda, I am 24 years old, and I am planning on getting the sleeve surgery done! I was in a car accident six years ago and am now a paraplegic, my weight continues to grow, and makes it very hard to do everday tasks, such as transferring, or even pushing my wheelchair. I am in the process of saving up money, which stinks because I am ready to have the surgery now! LOL! But I guess patience is a virtue! I was just wandering if there is anyone else out there, who has a disability, that has had the surgery? This next question applies to everyone though. It is emberrasing, but what better place to get a truthful answer. Right? Has anyone had any problems with their bowels, (such as diarrhea), after the surgery? Thats my main fear after this surgery is incontanince, regarding diarrhea. I know it's emberrasing, but any input, is much appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
  7. Do you already have your passport? How does that work?
  8. Hi! I was wandering, is it normal when you go to schedule your appointment, for them to ask for a deposit?
  9. Hi! I am considering having my surgery done in Mexico. I was just wandering, is it a normal process for them to ask for a deposit when you schedule your appointment? Thanks!
  10. Thank you all so much for the information. It is much appreciated! Is it normal for them to as for a deposit when you schedule your surgery?
  11. Hi my name is Amanda, I have decide weight loss surgery is the best option for me. Unfortunatly, my insurance does not pay for this, so I will be paying out of pocket. I hear lots of talk about surgery in Mexico, and how it is so much cheaper. I would like some opinions of this, my biggest concern would be safety. I was also wandering if anyone has had surgery in Mexico, if so, how did it go? All comments are much appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read this!
  12. Hi! My name is Amanda, I have decide I need weight loss surgey. I am 24 years old, and I am on a fixed income. My insurance will not cover surgery. I have no credit, so I do not qualify for a loan. Does anyone know where I can get a loan, that will not disqualify me for having no credit? Any ideas on how I could go about raising money for this operation would be much appreciated. This surgery is something I need, not just want. Six years ago I was in an automobile accident. I am currently paralyzed from the waist down. I have been heavy my whole life, but since the accident my weight continues to grow. I have already met with a surgeon and I meet all the criteria. I have almost half the money saved up. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate them! Thank You! P.S.: I have already tried Care Credit and I did not qualify.
