Sleeping On Stomach
alliecat1095 replied to mamitalosingit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a side sleeper and did that when I came home. I just used a pillow to support my belly. -
Ask your surgeon, maybe something happened in the past, that makes him more cautious .

It went well. I was told if I followed the pre- op diet to a T I wld have less complications. I had no nausea or vomiting. Very little pain, I took pain meds the day I came home and only 1/2 a tsp and that was the only time, other then two days this week. I over did it on the exercising. Think positive...

Didnt Think I Would Feel So Hungry!
alliecat1095 replied to SleeveShelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I found out today if I wake up later then my normal time I get a very painful empty feeling in my stomach and lots of burping If I do not get enough protein in the morning I become a total angry, nasty person. This caught me by surprise.. Wow that was very scary.... It took me several hours to recover. Thank god for the RTD protein drinks.. Has anyone else experienced any unusual out bursts. -
Yesterday evening I went for my walk and I decided to add some arm movements and also added some left to right hip (waist) movement. All day today I have had the worst pain ever on the area with the largest incision. ( sleeved 8/29) I had to take my lortab tonight. Extra strenghth tylenol did not help. I didn't have this much pain after I came home from hospital. ..I didn't even need pain meds after surgery. I think I aggravated the stitches and the muscles.
