  2. So I had the stomach flu last weekend (1 mo. Post op). I also had an appt on Wednesday this week for my first fill. Doc said NO FILL until Jan. 23 since I had been throwing up. I'm struggling with portion size right now. My band is empty. I have lost 26 lbs since my pre op diet and am super scared about eating tooooo much.

  3. Welcome to the monthly challenge. December is here and time to work on Happy Endings! A Very Blessed December Challenge is a fun way to keep track of your monthly weight loss while gaining and giving support to other bandsters

Copy and post the template below and fill in the information that you are comfortable sharing on Saturday December 1st then come back every Saturday on the 8th' date=' 15th, 22nd, and 29th and post your updated weight. I will keep track of the weights to get a table listing everyone's results on the following weekend.

Good luck to everyone and remember this isn't a contest it's a challenge and you are a winner no matter how much you lose.

The first three items are required all others are recommended, but the last one is the most fun. If you are new to our monthly challenger please leave a short introduction.

  4. I was banded Nov. 19 and have decided to join Weight Watchers...mainly because I would like to keep up with the weekly classes and to give me a weekly accountability. What I am not sure of is how many points I can eat as a minimum?? Anyone else have a band and do weight watchers??

  5. I was originally going to get the sleeve, and at the last minute changed to the band. I can give you some insight on why...the smaller stomach of the sleeve can slowly stretch back out over time. I was worried about 7-10 years down the road falling into old habits and my stomach just changing to accommodate over eating. The band is reversible, if at anytime I have issues or don't want the band anymore I just ask for it to be taken out. These were the 2 major issues I thought about before being banded.

Since being banded I LOVE my decision. I'm only 2 weeks out from banding, but I do not regret my choice. I am looking at my band as my newest BFF, and she is definitely keeping her end of the deal. I already feel better about myself, and knowing this "friend" is here to help me I have no worries of losing the weight and then gaining it back--as I have done so many times in my life.

  6. So, I had my surgery Monday afternoon. Got home around 8pm Monday night. I have a 1 year old son, and my husband, who took off the entire week to be home with me, only actually stayed at the house on Tuesday to help me. I have been on my own with baby boy since Wednesday morning. He was so supportive before the surgery and has now left me high and dry. Really pissed at him right now.

  7. I know it's only Thursday, but I am having a lot of pain in my sides. I have not experienced the shoulder pain, but just my sides hurting really bad. Has anyone else experienced this? The pain seems to be getting a little better, but I wasn't expecting my back to hurt.

Before anyone bites me head off I will call my doctor tomorrow if they are open.

  8. I was starting to think I wasn't normal with how bad my back is aching. I have been sitting in a recliner and thought maybe that was some of the problem. So I have gone to lay in bed on my side. Actually didn't hurt to lay down. Hoping it will help my back feel a little better. I'm still taking pain meds, are you all? It seems to help with the back pain. Especially since I have a 1 year old I'm trying to still play with.
