My surgery is at 1pm today. I have to be in the hospital by 11. I'm so nervous. Fear of the unknown!!!! I just hope for a speedy recovery and easy surgery.

I was told just protein shakes. I also have to do it for 3 weeks!!!! This is so not fun

I am so hungry!!!! It's only the end of day 2 and I keep thinking like how do I have 16 more days of this and how will I get through it. I have my preop with my surgeon Monday. I hope they tell me I can have broth or something.

So I'm on 2nd day of pre op diet. My surgeon seems real strict. I have to do it for 3 weeks they make everyone do it. It's only 3 shakes a day and 64 oz water. So I feel awful!!! I have the worst headache, sick to stomach and very dizzy. It's less than 450 calls a day. I work 10-12 hour days on my feet a s a hairstylist and i can't seem to focus. Does this seem extreme to anyone else???

My surgery is 8/27. I was planning the 2 week preop to start on Monday the 13th. My surgeon called today and said I have to start tomorrow!!! I got a 12 hour warning. I need to lose 15 lbs and because I lose slowly they are worried an want me to start right away!!!! Guess its better that I have no time to dread it but I'm scared about temptation. How has everyone else been doing? Any tips ?

My date is 8/27!!!! I'm nervous! I'm almost more so about the pre- op diet. I need the strength and will power. I'm 32 and almost 2 years ago my husband passed away suddenly. Since then I have given up on me and life. I now hoping to learn to live again. I'm scared of complications and such but it's time. I know this surgery can't bring my husband back but it has the possibility of bringing me back. I owe that to him and my family and most important myself. 3 more weeks until my new birthday:)

How do we join it????

Thanks slojo67!!!! I'm not real sure how to use this site. So I will take all the help and advice I can get!!!! I'm terrified for surgery!!! I'm very excited as well. I don't know anyone who has had it so I don't understand the "sticking" feeling that everyone talks about!!!! Also I'm hairdresser so I eat very fast when I can get a chance. Does it really take a full 30 min to eat??? And what about drinking? I am concerned what if ur thirsty ? Can you drink normally??
