My surgeon told me that there are stitches inside that have things pulled tight, and thus I have one spot that looks dented in and he said eventually that stitch will dissolve and that spot will look smooth again and that is also where the pulling feeling comes from.

Are never allowed to have Advil again or just while healing?

Thank you everyone... I think I have it figured out now... This is awesome and I linked it to my fitbit too. I love the barcode scanner... This will make tracking so much easier!

I saw something today that Dr. Oz says to drink aloe juice... Also might try taking out lactose... Many people do not realize this can be a symptom of lactose intolerance.

What I like about the binder is it is more adjustable and if I sit for a while and it starts feeling tight I can loosen it. And now 2 weeks out I can make it tighter as the swelling goes down

I am 15 days post op and have had no issues at all. Feeling great! Last night though I started feeling a slight pain in my right leg between my ankle and calf... It doesn't hurt to walk or anything, but I can just feel it when I touch it... I know there are lots of nurses on here so my question is once u are 2 weeks out isn't your risk of blood clot way down? I have been pretty active running my 3 kids here and there, and I rest in between.

Maybe you could find a surgery buddy in your area either from this site or a support group in your area. If you live in the Dallas area I would be willing to drive you

I had my sleeve 7/31 with Dr. Nick. Every single thing was absolutely wonderful! I can not say enough good things about him. He has a great beside manner... Very funny... We cracked jokes and his voice reminds me of Nicholas Cage. I loved everyone in his offices and at the hospital. They are very thorough with instructions. He works out of Forest Park and Baylor Plano. Feel free to ask me any questions.

How far post op are you? I get all mine at barbaric advantage.

thank you Jesus coffee still taste delicious to me... my favorite Protein shake is nectar Cappaccino and yesterday I made ice-cream out of it mixed with almond milk.Only thing I could not handle so far (day 14) was some of the pain medications they gave me liquid form of in the hospital. Just opted for the mild pain' date=' the stuff made me gag.[/quote']
Best advice from my nurse was to use watered down grape juice to chase that nasty med taste.... It really worked I would have one med cup with meds in one hand and a med cup of grape juice in the other.

Ahhh.... Thought maybe it was something else... My drainage tube was removed the next day before I went home. Most people say they don't feel their drain but I found it very painful when they squeezed it and when they removed it.

Hello' date=' not to scare anyone but just my experience. Sleeved July 31... No pain or meds since released from hospital. Woke up yesterday with pain on left side and around big incision site. Called Dr and was adv to come to er( only bc never felt this type of pain)... Got to er and was admitted bc of high blood cell count. My body had a reaction to the gtube. Had xrays to verify no leaks and gtube was removed immediately.. was told some people bodies cant handle objects inside( glad i didnt choose the band!) But I feel soooo much better today!Good luck to all[/quote']
What is gtube?

My doc said once I was off the pain meds... For me it was about 10 days although I still took pain meds at night. My first time driving though was strange... I just felt disconnected... Or distracted..I live in Dallas and had to drive 30 min into the city so I just took it easy on the highways.

I am also 13 days out and have not been having any pain but today i am having the same type of pain but on my left side. Maybe it is just the internal healing?
-
I will be 2 weeks post op tomorrow and still on a liquid diet. I have been feeling fine.... Some tenderness but nothing that would hold me back. I was busy most of the day yesterday but felt okay last night. Today though I have a bad pain in my left side. If feels like when you walk/run too long or too fast and you get a stitch in your side. It has really bothered me all day today but not at all before today. Has anyone else had this?

Yes, I remember having that pulling pain... It went away at about 3 weeks the internal stitches are pulled tight, but dissolve and then the pain goes away...
