I've been in a stall since January. Ive read a post to reduce calories to 800. I'm think I will try that and also track everything so I'm aware of what I'm taking in
-
Wow that's awesome. I'm still not at my goal haven't lost anything since January. What's your daily caloric intake? I've read numerous post to maintain 1000 calories per day and to lose 800 calories per days.

It's not physical hunger sometimes I will see something pick it up eat it and think about it after that I shouldn't eat it. So I think it's probably head hunger I'm more than one year post op and about two months ago the feeling has gotten stronger that I can't resist I'm trying to focus on I paid out of pocket for this and I don't want to waste my hard earned money.

Please please any advice out there to control this raging appetite. It started again after 3 o'clock I want to eat everything in sight. Is there anyone out there that has advice on how to control this hunger.

Wow, time flies! I am 2 years post op... My story: I started in the 260's..... made my very modest weight loss goal (170lbs) in 9 months and have been maintaining fairly easily since, (a few ups and downs!) At one point I was up 7-8 pounds but I am currently holding within 2 pounds of my low weight. I was eating sliders for sure, I caught myself and got back on track with normal eating. I still have hunger, I only lost it for about 4 months. I still have fair restriction, but sliders are almost as easy to eat as before. I eat anywhere between 1500-2000 calories a day to maintain. I don't eat low carb, but I try to fuel my body healthily. Don't get me wrong, I still eat cheezits and cookie dough for dinner sometimes! I drink 2-3 beers per week, and drink sparkling Water everyday, no troubles with carbonation. I bike or slowly jog/ walk a few days a week. Nothing crazy. I have a fairly active job as a RN. I have ZERO loose skin BUT I am 170 pounds, so if i wanted to see 130 pounds I might run into that problem. I wear as size 12 and mediums and some larges. (pre-op I was 2x and 24 easy) I would like to maintain my weight for another year then try to lose 10 more pounds. I am super happy, best decision I have ever made to get the sleeve. I am 30 years old and weigh less today then I did when I was 12 years old!
I am very grateful for this website, I have been on nearly everyday for the past 2 1/2 years, and I will keep coming back to help keep me in track!
Wow u look awesome.

It hasn't been around that long. When I had my surgery in 2012 my doctors aid it was only five out and there was a lot of unanswered questions.

I lost my hair too.. The doctor assured me as long as I followed the diet I would not but i did exactly three months out. Up until the three months my hair was growing beautifully. But about 9months out it stop and now it's really growing out like the other post it's something the majority of us go thru

If you still have restriction, I would try sticking to a low carb diet first. I saw this mentioned on another forum. May be worth a try if you are not losing weight right now.:
Calories: no more than 800 cals every day your first year ....or.... until you reach GOAL
DAILY Macronutrients: Protein ..90 grams
carbs ...first year....less than 40 gs TOTAL (never NET)
1year+ out ...never more than 60gs TOTAL for LIFE
fats..... never more than 30 grams for LIFE!
DAILY Measured food amounts:
NEVER ..eat more than 4oz of food , no matter the type........ at any meal.... FOR LIFE.
A couple noteworthy Ten Commandments:
Thou shall not eat more than 3 meals per day and shall not have unhealthy Snacks between meals.
Thou shall exercise 5 times per week for 40-45 minutes.
Thou shall ONLY weigh yourself once per week
Thou shall not covet the carbohydrate.
OMG I like this! Well try the pouch test and get back on track

I had bad reflux and over the counter stuff did not work! I got a prescription and I haven't had it since! Plus I only pay like 2 dollars for it. See if you can get some too. It's been a godsend!
