Lap band - don't do it!! Scarred for life
Yup, sorry you didn't like it.. But I don't think your view is a popular consensus that everyone should base their decision off of "Don't do it!". I completely, 100% disagree.. band saved my life, and I love it.

I'm Preggars, too! (BTW, which prenatal pill to take?)
My doc called in a vitamin for me, has an Rx label on it, but I think it's just because she called it in. Duet Chewable StuartNatal, .. doesn't taste fantastic, but I have had a worse tasting chewable..

Shrinkin' Violets- Part 2 Read Here
Nooo that's what I said, it's a local lady who puts in permanent ones for $900, and I can't afford that!!! These were like $50, they are clip in Jessica Simpson ones. Yes I'm nakey, I just got out of the shower and was still in the bathroom.. that's why my arm is across my chest, though I don't know who I'm kidding, my boobs hang to my knees.

Shrinkin' Violets- Part 2 Read Here
I read about both.. hairdye isn't a risk, and kitty litter is only a risk if you have outdoor cats (ours are indoors). Ok, I bought Jessica Simpson extensions, a friend told me her friend had them and they looked great--and they clip in. I was skeptical but I've been debating the $900 thing (which is out of the question now!) so I bought them just to see.. voila! I love it, it looks natural, Russell REALLY likes it lol.

Alexis is one of the names I threw out, that he didn't shoot down. I like it too. Believe me the name is going to change a zillion times between now and then, I love picking out names for things lol. I went to a private school and we learned multiplication in KINDERGARTEN!! We had to write a BOOK REPORT in 1st grade. I remember, even at that age, that we were doing really hard stuff for our age lol. When I moved to public school in 4th grade, they put me in the ACE class because I was so ahead of my peers.. it was just education, kind of sad.. but because of this, my kids are going to private school on the early years too. We had the rating systems, in fact a friend of ours has a kid in 1st grade who he was saying got a red light for a day for talking or something. I was always the suck up kid, I excelled, I liked to finish my test first and point out when others were wrong.. and 1st grade, Thanksgiving day when parents came for the turkey lunch.. I was bawling my eyes out.. and I remember it (my mom does too).. I got a paddling, because me and my friend (also a smart boy) finished our tests first--over indians--..and we were whispering. They thought we were cheating, so we got paddled.. I remember "Touch your toes".. we got paddled, I cried the rest of the day, I wasn't use to being a 'bad kid' kind of thing.. when mom came, the teacher apologized and explained what happened and said I wouldn't stop crying.. my mom ended up crying at the lunch because she said I broke her heart how personal I took it.. hah.. I never got a paddling again! I guess I stopped talking, or the teacher couldn't bear the thought of going through it again! I am dying my hair right now, so gotta run. Hope everyone has a good night!!

Lap-Band Statistics & Sleep Apnea
Well, I don't really question the diabetes or anything, my curiosity is in the sleep apnea..

Shrinkin' Violets- Part 2 Read Here
Well I went on and on with names I've always liked, and McKenzie is one I threw out there that he just laughed and said NO. I played a computer game when I was 12 called McKenzie High or something, and it was about a girl named McKenzie, I always liked that name. Madeline was the name, growing up I wanted to name everything.. but my parents' oldest pug, I named Madeline some 13 years ago and we call her Mattie.. I can't see that as a person anymore. The girls I work with all have teenagers, and they're named Jayden, Hayden, Kayden and Kendall (all different moms). And though I like the name Jayden, I associate it with that girls' teenager.. and where as I have no indication she's a bad teenager, I know for a fact she's unusually slutty for a 14 year old. So that name is tainted.. Russell wants NO names that can be gender confused, which rules out almost every name I like.. I am starting to like Carson more and more. We're going to use our middle names, since they're both family names.. Alan & Marie. Carson Alan Barlow, Lily Marie Barlow )

Ramadan Fasting for Muslim Bandsters
As someone who doesn't fast, and is amazed you do this for a whole month??? My only suggestion would be, in the AM try to preface eating with something warm to loosen you up, then try to eat something that 'sticks' with you all day.. Protein & high Fiber. At night to keep from having the sleep problems, whatever you eat, make sure before you finally go to bed, you drink a full bottle of Water to clean out the pouch and keep from anything bothering you throughout the night.

Lap-Band Statistics & Sleep Apnea
When I went for an unfill last week, I noticed my doctor had new table ad things (provided by the makers), it looks like he must go with Realize band now.. but they had information on statistics, comparing Band vs. RnY. On most statistics, RnY cured things like Diabetes, and heartburn, statistically better than the band.. but the ONE thing the band, statistically cured more than RnY was sleep Apnea. I don't have sleep apnea, so no personal concerns with this, but I was curious why that would be. Anyone have any ideas on that? I wondered if it had to do with the placement of a band down there, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but it's all I could come up with.. You lose weight with RnY & the band, so I figure most statistics are in RnY's favor, because it's the rapid weightloss thus resulting in less diabetes, heart burn, blah blah.. but what makes the band better with sleep apnea?

i think i made a mistake!
I 2nd this.. I did myplate religiously post-op, I fell off doing it sometime beginning of this year.. then everytime I hit a stall, I start doing myplate again just for a week to see what's going on.. and it never fails, if I am holding myself accountable for everything I eat, I eat better...and thus lose.

Olive Garden NOT accomadating!!
Well there's 2-sides to everything. I don't think they should HAVE to take it, I mean they didn't tell you to get a band.. if they had to accomodate for everyone's weird quirks.. well, they'd be over their head. Some people allergic to this, or that, and some of this or that.. and they have to accomodate majority. Some people don't get full in the 'normal' portions, and sometimes the 'normal' portion is too much. That being said, I never really understand why someone would deny you the kid's menu. The few times I ordered off of it (not at OG), I never got a problem. Whether you are 2,20,or 80.. a kid's menu size XYZ is the same size XYZ. And like someone else said, if you got it to-go they wouldn't know (and don't care). So it's a weird loop.. But I don't hold them at fault, if it's their policy that you have to be 12 and under, it's their policy. Just get a normal meal and take it to-go.. or like you did, eat off of other's plates...or if you're dead set on a kid's menu item, get it to-go.

When I make potroast, I buy a "Chuck Roast". They also have "Pot Roast" though don't they? I haven't made that since last winter!! I love them, but timing doesn't work for me. They are 6 hours, and by time I get home from work it is too late and in the morning it would be too long. I had 1/2 turkey sandwhich and a cup of broccoli cheese soup for lunch. I love Jason's deli!! I have been marinating steaks since last night, we're going to grill out tonight. We got an indoor grill from his parents for xmas, so this will be our first time using it. All the funk from work last Friday has rolled over to today, I was hoping today would be a good day. I am just so frustrated with people here. And one of our vendors, stole one of our employees (we were firing anyway, no biggie), and now that company and the ex-employee are trying to steal our only lead pressman--so he is demanding a $6/hour raise to meet the offer they gave him. ARGH. I got my title last week, they sent it registered mail which is such a pain.. I never have time to get to the post office during their business hours.. so I have to leave work early today to go get it. Now I can sell my car, if I wanted.. Glad you have better students this time around Pam!

Morning V's! Looks great Tracy! I wish I was handy, I have done a few things to our house, but I have major projects I wish I could handle. Any idea how hard it is to add glass doors to surround bathtub? I was thinking about that this morning, I've been wanting to do it in the guest bathroom so the cats stop tracking litter into the tub (they jump straight from the box into the bathtub some reason!!) I was late to work today, I am so tired!!!!!!!! Names Russell has thrown out on his own.. William (no way) and Blake.. which I'm 50/50 about. It's not bad, but it's not my preference. I was going to post more, but some emails just came in I gotta handle.

Needle Phobia
Have you tried just.. not looking? I know it sounds simple but... Things like giving blood, I'm not needle phobic, but they hurt a million times worse if I watch. If I don't see the needle, or see them do it (I look at something behind me or beside me).. I hardly even feel it. If I watch my fills, it SEEMS painful to have a needle go in my chest.. so it hurts.. if I don't watch, I don't feel the needle, I just hear that scraping noise.

spitting fat and oil
Have you ever had heartburn before? I've never heard of this, but I have had heartburn my whole life and I remember in my younger years, when I'd spit it up it was always oil and grease that came up. Definitely talk to your doctor, if it is heartburn it can be due to being too tight.

LOL you girls are cracking me up!! I like Macy too, he didn't like it. I thought about Violet, but was thinking of nicknames to call, and "Vee" isn't cute an girly.. and it sounds like Dee which is his g'ma and she scares me. I am kind of settling into Lily, told my family at the cookout, and we laughed about the L names.. I am Laura, my sister is Leslie, my cousin is Lindsey.. so when people are talking to us they go "La..Le..Li..Les..Laura!" (for all of us its a big funny thing). So then there'd be LILY to throw in the mix. My mom's comment.. she had a friend who called her hooha her "Lily" so mom says everytime she hears that name that's what she thinks of "I have to go get my Lily checked today", etc. I came home early from the cookout cause Russell wanted to come home, but I think I'm going to go back over.. they live about a mile down the road and I don't want to sit at home!! Talk to you guys later )

Madison & Bailey were both names on my list for girls that he said NO to, so that's ironic you guys said that  We live in Madison city, in Madison county, and I've always loved that name!

Shrinkin' Violets- Part 2 Read Here
This is likely minor in the scheme of things, but it's a new realization for me.. Russell and I ARE NOT on the same page with baby names! I wrote down about 10 each last night, at dinner I was telling them to him. He shot down EVERY SINGLE ONE.. for boys & girls. He says all my guy names are gay sounding, and all the girl names are too preppy. He was like "We're in Alabama".. I said "Yeah and my kid isn't gonna be Bubba or Curly Sue!!" I don't like the common names.. of course everyone in his family is a common name like David, Mike, Tim, etc. I never wanted to name my kid something common and boring. I liked Jayce, Reese, Aidan.. he said NO NO NO.. then Lillian, call her Lily and he is like "I like Lily, but no Lillian".. bah.. my favorite girl names are Reagan and Riley, and he is adament, NO names that could be either gender.. So all we semi-agree on is Lily for girl or Blake, Carson, and maybe Connor for boy.. Wah.. I really liked Reagan
