  1. Oh here's a funny for today New Wrinkle On Avoiding Jury Duty - April 30, 2009
  2. It's all relative Terry, I couldn't afford 5k for any kind of renovation lol. I have a horrible crick in my neck today and when I turn to look at Carson's bassinet or to get something off the night stand it kills me, so that must be how I got it. We had some good storms last night and the sun isn't coming out today.. good chill in the bed day with laptop for work!! Down to 255lb woohoo. I was 282 when I went in to the hospital, 285lb when I left.. I didn't think I had much fluid gain (at least going into the hospital I didn't), but I guess I had more than I thought. I know after BEING there I was swelling all over, I hate the pics of us in the hospital my face was so ballooned up. Go Tracy go! I have no excuse, we have the free gym at work and I stopped going a while ago. I keep saying I'll just go in and do the treadmill or elliptical, just to do SOMETHING, then I don't. Ugh.
  3. Went to ped, luckily not a single kid was there while we were.. apparently everyone has become a shut in (I am now that appt is over). Just saw on the news, they tested 8 kids and CDC just confirmed all 8 have the swine flu. They think it started at Panoply, a big art festival here in town; that I meant to go to but forgot to find out the dates and then it left my mind (I was going to take Carson). I am SO GLAD I forgot!!
  4. They had me get dressed & set up in L&D before they brought back DH and my mom. Then my belly was never shown to anyone. I filled out all the forms before they came back too, where they asked about surgeries and I told them about the band. There's no modesty for the vajaja, but luckily your band isn't in your vajaja  15 hours of labor & c-section it was never once brought up again. It's not like they let you eat or anything, its all ice chips.. and I only got sick at the very end when they told me I had to do a c-section, I guess I got overwhelmed and I started heaving into a bed pan-even then, no one said anything about the band.
  5. Our ped has a well & sick side, the waiting room is only seperated by the reception desk, but the rooms are completely opposite sides.. But with all the schools closed, and them saying to bring all sick kids in for testing, I figure there's going to be a lot of sick kids there. I'm calling in the morning to see what they say. Russ said everyone at work is sick with whatever he has, he got it from them. But at our work no one stays home when they're sick unless they're absolutely dying. It's more annoying to try to catch up if you're out..
  6. Just saw on the news there's 2 cases of swine flu at the elementary school a mile down the road   I think I told ya'll Russ has been sick the past couple days (coughing, congestion, achey).. so I am just beside myself with worry right now. We're suppose to go to ped tomorrow for 2 week check up & PKU, but they're closing all the schools around here so I'm afraid there will be a bunch of sick kids there!!!
  7. I gained weight quick once becoming pregnant with just a SLIGHT unfill.. the last couple months I felt wide open, I think he was kinking the band, after birth my restriction has come back.. it's where it was when they unfilled a little--I know I need a slight fill to get back to where I was. I ended up going from 212-282 (70lb) by time I delivered, the day I came home from hospital I was up to 285!!! I guess it was fluid, I am losing steadily (thank goodness) and am down to 262lb today. I tried putting on pre-pregnancy pants for the first time today and they fit, a bit snug but still doable. I was fretting about the weight gain, but eventually said to hell with it.. I'll work on it when he comes along. He made me soooo hungry, and that has stopped (maybe has to do with restriction coming back). I don't eat nearly what I did while pregnant, and don't have the desire to. So if yer like me and pack on the pounds, just keep in mind you can get back to working with the band when baby comes.. don't stress yourself, it stresses baby!
  8. Judy I sent it to you this morning, did you not get them? Sent to your lycos account. I know Terry, I was telling Pam last night I wish I'd known how they were cutting, it's where I believe they'd do a tummy tuck and I could have asked her to cut out some of the pannis lol.
  9. That Motrin stuff works good, along with the percetes (sp), my doc prescribed Motrin 600mg. Between the two, as long as I don't forget to take one or the other I would never know I was cut from side to side!
  10. Judy because you mentioned Kris and pants, I decided to try (for the first time) to wear pants.. I've worn pajamas since I got out of the hospital, and when we go in public I wear some too-big drawstring pants or elastic skirt. My size 15 favorite jeans fit(I was wearing the same jeans in 13 before pregnancy, but I have 2 pair of 15 and 2 pair of 13)!! They put pressure on my incision which doesn't feel good, but I can wear them!! They are really fitted on my thighs, which is unusual. My legs are normally my skinny parts, so it's weird to have them tight on my thighs but not on my belly! Guess I put weight on my thighs during pregnancy.
  11. Band or no band, women who have bad morning sickness in the beginning all face the nutrition worry..from what I had read, your baby will be fine till you can eat normal again but Heather is right high-carb is best right now.. breads, crackers, etc. You should eat heavy carbs before going to bed, which should help in the morning. I didn't have the morning sickness, I just remember reading that chapter in my what-to-expect book! The days you said you can only get soup down, try some of those food replacement shakes like Ensure. Also are you taking prenatal vitamins? My doc prescribes all pregnant patients of hers 2 things for nausea. One of them is a dissolvable tablet that goes on your tongue, I filled it just to have them on hand and they work really well (for me and DH). It's something they give to chemo patients. Have you asked your doc for something?
  12. Morning! Whatever is in the pic is not the placenta or baby, I asked my mom she thought it was the sac (you can see it puckered on one end) and it's white.. I googled uterus from c-section and saw similar pics. I may never know, but I still think it's neat! He's sitting her staring at a lamaze moose toy, I'm hoping to get some cleaning done when he goes to sleep again.
  13. Oh I meant to tell ya'll, the nurse who took pics for me during the c-section, got pics of him coming out, and a pic I think of my uterus on my belly!! Maybe I am weird, but I think pics like that are cool, plus I love his first pic (his arms are spread wide like "I AM HERE!!") Anyway, I'm not going to post them, but if any of you want to see them let me know and I'll email em.
  14. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!
  15. Take advil...for back pains, tylenol doesn't help; you need an anti-inflammatory.
  16. Jeez Heather you're teeny tiny!! I befriended my mom on myspace, she doesn't know how to use it she just wanted it to spy on my sister-who befriended her and still posts bad stuff (silly kid). Haydee thank you so much, that bed will come in handy I love the outfit too, I love elephants did I say that before? LOL I can't wait till he can wear it. I went to mail something today and saw someone broke off our mailbox flag.. not all the way, they just bent and bent, etc. till majority of it snapped off, so it's intentional. Lovely. I hate my neighbors, how many times do I have to say this
  17. Pasties is nothing, if you missed Judy's facebook update yesterday she was going Tricking!!
  18. 2 people can fit in my car with me & carseat.
  19. Heather be careful!!!!!!! You should not be moving furniture right now, no matter how light; see what happened! We had a maid I found on craigslist scheduled to start tomorrow. I posted a listing stating what I needed, and specified a background check will be done so they must be ok with that. Out of the people that responded, I picked one based off of whoever sounded better.. anyway, Friday I emailed her the info I need to do the background check; she said she wasn't comfortable e-mailing it. So today Russell called her to get it, and she wouldn't give him her current address or birth day..and then she said she has a friend who can run the background check for us.. uhm.. yeah right. He told her no disrespect but we want to run our own and she told him F*** you. So.... back to the drawing board. Why is this so hard!!!!!! My granny saw a commercial for a white glove cleaning service, I am going to call them sometime today I guess and get rates. I'm watching Milk on and off. I like Sean Penn and it's a true story, but it's actually veeeeeeery slow.
  20. Thank you Kat, this book is beautiful, I just read it tonight and heavy sighed. Is it normal to be thinking about Carson's future? I was holding his hand and thinking one day he'd have a wedding band.. and then I was thinking about his goofy faces and if he'd still make them when he was a teenager lol.
  21. Uh oh Tracy ,was it all that wine?? :smile2: Hope you feel better soon! Last night Russell made my heart hurt, I fed Carson at midnight and put him down--I cover the bed to keep a/c and light out. I fell asleep, and Russ was in the living room playing xbox. I wake up to him calling for me all panicked. I couldn't just glance and see Carson over there, so I thought he got him and something happened, so I ran out to the living room shaking and panicked. Luckily it wasn't Carson, but it took me an hour to recover from that... Our dog apparently went stiff and fell head first off the couch, when I got out there Russ was holding and shaking her. She was fine by time I got there, but definitely scared Russ. Can't figure out what happened, but it didn't happen again..and she is acting fine-she won't go to the couch anymore though where she was. He saw it out of the corner of his eye, so I said maybe she just lost her balance and fell. Carson has accidentally smiled a couple times since last night and it looks like he has a dimple... can't wait till he intentionally smiles so I can tell for sure! I was 282lb by time I went into the hospital, I was 280 when I left (hmmm)...I know I was swollen from fluid retention..anyway I am 265lb today, I'm losing about 1-2lb a day on average when I check. My restriction came back to where it was after having him, so I think he was squishing the tubing and keeping the fluid out. I definitely need a fill, but I don't feel wide open anymore.
  22. We need a designated baby holder for when we get drunk.. Judy right???
  23. Me neither!!
  24. His middle name is Michael, after Russell's dad.
  25. Time really does fly. Heather I meant to say WOW about your sister. I can't even imagine what a 2lb baby looks like.. Carson at 6lb something is sooo tiny, he's actually having to wear premie diapers & clothing. I agree with Judy, you guys look so pretty and I AM SO FREAKING JEALOUS that you guys can get together. I would be going to lunch with ya'll every week if we were remotely close Terry the eye surgery really looks awesome, I still am surprised-I didn't think you needed it, but I can now tell a difference!
