  1. Hah what a funny question.. Do those 'butterflies' come from your actual stomach? I always feel mine lower in my abdomen.. like.. Uterus butterflies! In any event, I have had them since banding.
  2. You're not alone. I have this problem now too, and I know others have (there was a thread about this before). Less insulation!
  3. Can get them online.. google "IDS NEW WHEY" FitFuel.com I use to do the 42g, and shoot 1/2 at a time.
  4. To make it fair.. take amount loss % compared to how much they are to goal. That way if someone is 60lbs or 10lbs from goal, it's fair. If I lose 6lbs and my goal is 180 and I'm at 232, the percentage lost would be 11%. If someone's goal is 150, and they are 170 and lose 6lbs they are at 30% loss and would win in this scenerio.)
  5. Poor Tracy. Go have a hot chocolate!! What happens if you win Terry? Mondays are so boring. Usual stuff, makes me feel how repetitive my life is lol.
  6. Tracy if it makes you feel any better, I drink 4-8 bottles of water a day religiously now.. with the exception of last night's coke, I don't drink anything else anymore.. and it doesn't make my scale any nicer!!
  7. The Courier: Taking you to the heart of Tayside and Fife Obese children ‘may be put in care’A DUNDEE couple yesterday claimed their six children will be taken from them and placed in care unless they can bring their weight under control within three months. Social workers are understood to be ready to take action to safeguard the health of the children, three of whom are considerably overweight. Their parents have been told to send the children, the oldest of whom is 12, to dance and football lessons to shed pounds—or risk losing them. Causing social workers most concern is the weight of the 12-year-old child, who is more than 16 stone, and another three-year-old child who weighs four stone. The family claim the slimming deadline was set at a meeting with child protection officers last Thursday. They say they were warned that all six children could be taken into care unless significant improvements are seen by June. Social workers have allegedly even labelled the 21-month-old child, who weighs 26lbs, overweight. However, the parents are adamant that their children are only displaying puppy fat and believe it will be shed as they grow older. Their solicitor, Kathleen Price, has also raised the spectre of another Dundee family having a child taken away because of a weight problem. Of the six children, she said, “I believe obesity is the main driving force in this case. This family is not alone.” A spokesman for Dundee City Council said they were not able to comment on individual child protection issues. The city council’s social work convener, Councillor Helen Wright, was unavailable for comment yesterday.
  8. Kat- wow.. that was like reading a book, I couldn't believe you threw out Linzie's slinky! No liquid diet for me, if I did that, I'd crave food so bad, I'd either cheat or when I'm done I'd go nuts eating food. But lots of water, and good choices today!! Tracy- Yeah I was losing 2lbs regularly a week.. then the 2nd week I was on Chantix (when I stopped) I gained 5lb.. which is a 7lb gain really. It freaked me out enough! But what sucks, is I'm back to chain smoking to make up for food, but still have snacking issues that haven't gone away from when I was stopping. Still losing slowly.. slower.. You're doing good, and you're so close to goal!! I decided to try Chantix closer to goal, when I can offset the extra eating with exercise. Have you tried doing that yet?
  9. Well I went to look at the website that the link you gave takes you to, to buy.. According to them I should be XL. So I'm going to go try them on, but that website sells them for $15 which is pretty cheap for a shaper. If they work well in the store, going to order some. Thanks again for the tip!
  10. Funny you mentioned that Terry, I didn't say it since it sounds racist, but all the neighbors that are doing this are non-american. The ones from today are asian, and they don't speak english.. we tried to help them when their sprinklers busted once, went though 10 people living in that house (no idea how), and never found one that understood us. And this really is a nice neighborhood, it's frustrating. Ok girls, time to get my butt in gear. I let it all go this weekend... and tonight I was craving a Coke like you wouldn't believe. I don't drink it anymore, and Mt. Dew was my poison of choice, but it was such an intense craving, made DH go to the gas station and I've been sipping on it.. Mm. Tomorrow I WILL NOT be bad!!!!! I finally finished all my homework tonight, down to the wire. Spanish homework was really overwhelming today.. had to fill in words in a diary, and I guess I'm suppose to know Spanish by now.. to read it.. and to fill in the blank with some sort of appropriate word.. uhm.. yeah. I got the V's trip surprise tonight too! Here's a hint.. it's... get this.. violet!! :crying:
  11. Thanks! I will check that out, I bought a spanx top a monthish ago, I'm actually wearing it right now. It does nothing to 'hold me in', but it actually fits me so I like it as a normal tank top around the house. And it does roll up.. ho hum. Why did I have to be born fat? It's too expensive!!! ---- Is this the one you got? That looks like the spanx one I'm wearing, and you say it doesn't roll up on you?
  12. I only get my pants from one place, so pants aren't an issue.. they are fitting fine (and encourage me the most since my hips are a size 12 at these plus size places!!). It's really tops that I am lamenting about. I can wear XL tops from 'normal store', and 1-2x tops at 'plus size' stores. It all depends on the place.. but, they all have the same problem.. unless it's designed to fit bigger (like babydolls), I hate how it sits on my belly.. if it fits me right, it will be too tight on the belly and it's so 'gooey' now, it bounces horribly. If I go up a size, the shirt looks too big on me.. and coworkers point out how I need to go down a size! I loved babydolls, but for about 5 months in a row the lady who does my hair asked me if I was pregnant.. I finally figured out why she asks.. babydolls make me look pregnant!! Since my belly is the biggest part of me, the babydolls just don't help me out. For tailoring, never done that before.. I always assumed it's expensive & timely.. I have 10 dollar shirts, pay $50 to tailor and it won't be ready for a month, by then I am in a new size. This is just how I always thought it, is it different from that?
  13. Welcome CPR The trash thing.. :crying: It was windy, I watched the beer boxes & cans rolling down the street. Then I saw a cop pass twice, never stopped. I guess since it all blew away he didn't know where to stop. Then I took a nap.. just got up, look outside.. said beer box & cans ARE IN MY FRONT YARD........... ARGFHGFHSEUT. So Mad.
  14. I'm having serious issues. I keep looking frumpy, so I buy new sizes.. everything is either frumpy or too small. I took measurements and compared them to size charts last night.. and no wonder. But now what?! My Chest- 44" Waist- 40" Hips At largest- 41" (Sample size chart did not format right, so here's the info compared to the size chart) sizing guidelines My chest is an 18, my waist is (not even on here) 24 maybe, and my hips are 12. I am finding this everywhere I go!!!! If the shirt fits my boobs & belly, it looks frumpy on my arms and shoulders. Argh. I've upset, I don't even know what to do with this info. I'm always going to look frumpy in clothes now?
  15. It won't be long! I went from busting out of 26/28 to currently wearing size 15 comfortably. And I started wearing 15's last month and that's only 10 months out! Take all the hand me downs you can, it gets expensive!
  16. I just called the police.. (non-emergency), just asked if the guy with beer, kegs, and beer cans laying all out in the road is illegal.. she said littering is illegal, so they're sending someone out here. Hopefully, this will get them to stop in the future now.. cause since I know it's now illegal and they will come out, I'll keep calling.
  17. So Pam, you're like one of the L word girls? All the lesbians really get to hang out with the posh gay men (and why are they always posh!!). Hah, I am definitely envious, everything I've ever seen on TV of those poshy places are unreal. I'd have loved the dinner too! Sorry about DD Kat, sounds like a rough situation  Hopefully, she will do what's good for her DD! I have kept my blinds open all day, watching all the neighborhood kids. Lots of fun, makes me want my own (yet again). And then there's the asshole neighbor who stacks trash for pick up but doesn't put it in bags.. lot of beer boxes and cans ALL OVER the street in front of my house. Can you call the cops for things like that? I get so mad at these people. This is a nice neighborhood and their laziness causes all these brand new houses to get trashy looking. I have to pick up OTHER PEOPLE's trash out of my yard every friggin day. I figured out why I can't breathe!! It finally clicked, thanks to mom. When I went to docs, I said yeah I had seasonal asthma as a kid, but I haven't had it since I was like 12!! Well, when I was 13 we moved out of the country. Before that, we lived near fields and CROP DUSTERS!!! So yesterday, we were pulling out of my neighborhood.. we have a field connected to our backyard, and they were crop dusting. So, mystery solved. I can't breathe the pesticides. Kind of sucks I'll have to deal with this every year.. mom said use a face mask when I go outside, but I figure it would still get in our a/c since we're right on the field. Going to go make some new outfits for my clothing store, going to be a lazy day.
  18. I don't have a problem with rice, it's pretty filling too. Tortillas are another story. Maybe if I ate them plain and slow(why bother).. but if it's like a burrito or something, instant problem on the first bite. I like to eat fillings out of tortilla things if I have to go to a Mexican restaurant.
  19. I hate marshmellows and jelly beans! Couldn't pay me to eat a Peeps.. The minieggs aren't like those normal cadbury eggs with fillings (and their minis), they're like big M&M's.. they have a rough texture coat and solid chocolate inside. In case I don't post again tonight, hope you all have a Happy Easter!
  20. Thank you Jane!! I got the mail earlier, 2 greeting cards in there, I had to think really quick.. not anniversary.. not our birthdays.. lol. Then I realized it was for Easter. It kind of snuck up on me. Haydee those eggs are so cute!! We have cook outs at my parents, I assumed we were tomorrow but dad has a Tee-time.. so I guess not. Mom asked if I'd go to church with her, I said yeah, but neither of us belong to a church and had such issues in the past with our old church.. so after discussing the different church options, we kind of decided not to go. So I doubt I'm doing anything.. Well I AM avoiding stores that sell minieggs at discount tomorrow. My menu for tomorrow... chili! Sundays are chili day at our house now. Aw and thank you Judy, I just got your card. Re-itterating my need to stay away from discount minieggs!!)
  21. hahaha.. I have insomnia too, as does my mom. I can't believe you fell asleep in the bathroom!! I totally would have taken pics of you too! My mom swears by Tylenol PM, but I don't like taking 'medicine'.. so I've taken Unisom for years. It gets me to sleep, but doesn't keep me asleep.. I still wake up throughout the night, but groggy enough I can fall back. One thing I really like about it (opposed to Nyquil) is that if I get a full 8 hours, I wake up bright and perky.. Nyquil gives me a hung-over affect till noon the next day. My sister was on Ambien, so I tried it one time, to see if it's worth finding a doc to get it.. it didn't do ANYTHING for me. I was up for about 6 hours after taking it. I don't talk to my docs about it, afraid they'll think I'm a looney tune. So Unisom has been my self-medication since I was about 18.
  22. As you can see, when I planted these in the fall, I expected that one small plant to grow bigger than it did (I experimented and just bought different interesting flowers and made a hodgepodge.. in the other flower bed it all looks fine). But I'm going to buy another bush and plant it there sometime soon. Now where are my blooms? :cheers2:
  23. Oh and booboo.. time to post new pics!! I wanna see :cheers2:)
  24. Yeah I was thinking LBT is more like a medication, keeps me sane during work.. and when I do stupid stuff to bypass my band I come here and remember why I'm doing it. But psychic fill.. does sound better.. we go with that.
