  1. 21.5kgs is awesome. Is that including pre-op ?
  2. Sorry, I hit send too quick before adding I was looking at one thread about how soon post op did you have sex, well this topic turned into a war zone - totally disgusting Have a great week all . I am going to intensify my exercise this week and kick it up a notch.
  3. I have seen some of the slanging in the other threads which I personally think is disgusting. It is supposed to be a support group:(. That is why I really only stay on the Aussie thread which is a fantastic support and valuable info I personally would not drink beer and that is what I used to drink but the thought makes me feel ill but it is not for me to judge anyone what they wish to consume.
  4. On my 5th week post op, I had a work function and had 2 vodka, soda and limes. Took me about 1 hr to get through each one but was nice
  5. I remember my first scrambled egg and salmon. Was so nice after fluids and purée food. Size 16 is great. Can't wait until I'm there . I started as size 24, now in 20 so going down and best thing I have ever done. Have a great time in Melbourne with your sister and niece. How was her reaction when she seen you and your 15 kgs down.
  6. Good luck Lila. I too started to feel myself getting anxious and thinking about complications but I did as you said. Wouldn't allow myself negative thoughts and focused on the big picture. It is all worth it
  7. Good luck Lila, thinking about you. Keep us updated
  8. It's amazing how good you feel after a great new hairstyle and losing weight on top of it - you feel like a whole new person. Kelli - you'll have to upload a new pic after your haircut
  9. Love it sueoco. I feel exactly like you and have no probs telling people. I have been really slack with my Vitamins. I brought the liquid one to start with but confess I keep forgetting about it. I will go and buy tablet form today and will take it at same time as my thyroid meds. I should really look into something fore my hair as I agree, losing all this weight and being bald . So good xx
  10. Well what a great couple of last days. Yesterday at the shops and ran into the office lady at my GPs office whom I have known for years, anyway said hi to her at the shop and could tell instantly she had no idea who I was. Cut a long story short after she had 3 attempts of questioning me as to whom I am, I finally said Shelley from the clinic. She nearly fell over and said I was totally different already and imagine when I have lost 40kgs. It was amazing how people look at you whenever your carrying weight and didn't expect it to be me 20kgs lighter. Then yesterday and today, my bras are so noticing to big and had to rumble through the drawers for something smaller to fit. My tops are also so big that I am actually uncomfortable to wear any longer as my male work mates (I only work with guys at work) are constantly looking at my chest and it feels like they can see all the way down my top to my toes as so baggy and lose. I love the fact to be dropping bra sizes, as my sister said I'll be out of my granny bras soon:) My scales are slowly moving but can really feel the measurements dropping.!! Not long Lila. I'm so excited for you and the rest of the Aussie Sleevers that are about to join us. Sorry about spelling mistakes, I'm on one bumpy bus ride home from work

    Relationships

No but i am only 5 weeks out, however i have heard that this can be the case and unfortunately not for the best.
  13. Lily, that is great - I can't wait to reach double digits!!! If I got no lower than 99 I would be over the moon just to be under the 100 Good on you
  14. To all Brissy / Gold Coast Sleevers, let's arrange a meet-up on Saturday 6 October at either Roma Street Parklands or South Bank. I personally love South Bank as I will take my children swimming after and there are great restaurants like Kapsali's or even just a cafe - we can discuss what your preferences are and decide on a suitable location but let's lock in 6/10 @ 1pm in your diaries. We should look at getting together every 2 months or so, on 1st Saturday of the month where we can see our little group expanding over time and be here to support one another. I love hearing and seeing everyone's progress (and exciting for Beth getting closer to her surgery) Let me know your thoughts
