    Help Really Bad Gas

Thanks for all the good ideas. Woke up this morning feeling a lot better after taking pain meds last night. Definitely trying to move around a lot more and I'm feeling the difference today.

  3. I haven't felt anything like that, but you have to remember that the swelling in that area is pretty intense and you body is now try to figure out what to do with this foreign thing that will not be leaving. I also was banded on Aug 3 and I still have a some swelling in that area and its starting to itch as the surgical sites start to heal.
  4. So I am exactly one week post-op today and everything is starting to feel fine finally except the gas! I will admit that I probably didn't get up and move around as much as I should have the first two days and I never took any of the pain meds (never felt I needed them). Unfortunately, now one week out I have these almost debilitating moments after walking a little while where the gas is so bad that I can't stand up straight. Has anyone else had anything similar? I have started taking gas-x after meals but it doesn't make cuz this happens right after meals, in between meals, whenever.
  5. No no blood thinners. Just liquid diet.
  6. I found that if I don't drink fluids in between shakes then I feel really bad and I feel much better with plenty of water in between shakes. My doc said it was fine for me to also drink non caloric drinks which keeps me from being sick of water.
