1. I too am in reset mode. I am 18months out and never hit goal. About 40 lbs away. I want so badly to remove some of this extra skin but I know that the docs won't consider me until I'm closer to my goal weight. I too am a grazer (and I enjoy some wine too much on occasion). I will share that I restarted based on some of the things I have read on the threads - currently doing the 5 Day Pouch Test to reset my tool. I'm in day two - and even lost 2.6 lbs on my first day!!! We can do this ... We have each other!!

PS - Paris is awesome so that June trip is going to be great!! I adore France!

  2. Cw: 223 sw:267 ive lost 44 lbs in 12 weeks...feel like it could be better. Im 5'3 and have a petite build. What are some people who are 12 weeks out stats looking like?

I'm in a very similar position. Started at 259.9 and am now 221.4. I'm about 9 weeks out since surgery and am 5'3" - been stuck here for abt 2 weeks. Just started hard at the gym so hope that makes a difference.

  3. The Protein shakes for some people are hard to get down after surgery. I would experiment with flavorings like the Torani syrups added to your shakes.. They are very important to healing.
So need to be consumed In The first weeks
I got lucky and actually liked the premier shakes.< /p>

I liked and still use the premier Protein Shakes - not too shabby and a quick bf in the morning on my way to work. I'm 7 weeks post op.

  4. I'm in the same boat - and was feeling like a slower loser but I just keep in mind that at least it's still going down and not stopping or going up. I'm 5 weeks out - started preop diet at 259.9 - surgery at 249.9 - currently 227.

I will say that I can probably do more gym time - that would help :)

  5.
Hi! I am one month out from surgery.

Surgery date: 10/22/13
Highest weight: 272
Surgery weight: 252
Current weight: 242 1 month out

Pre op diseases: Diabetes II, Gout, Hypertension, High Cholesterol and sleep Apnea

Post op meds: Down to 1/2 of all medication amounts and should be medication free in another month, except Gout!

I have been struggling to get all my food in. I only seem to be able to get in 1oz of chicken or fish and then I feel like I have to throw up! On two occasions I got 2 oz of protien in but am getting really sick of protien drinks and yogurt. eggs make me sick as well. Anyone have suggestions. I take all my Vitamins and have been getting my protien by protien shots from Sunkist (27g) per shot.

    What are sunkist Protein Shots?

  6. Me too!

Lol I "liked" Your post... But not because I like that you were a sneak eater :P

It's just nice to meet you :)

Thanks! Nice to meet you as well - I have been inspired by you and sincerely appreciate and value what you have to say. I know you are a year out now right!?! With me not even a month out - your words are wisdom - not to mention a communication style I admire! Thanks for being you Laura! :)

  7. I have heard and read many positives of using both Prilosec and Miralax - not necessarily together but I suppose you could if needed. I'm curious - I don't feel like I have acid indigestion but I do think I feel hungry when I may not be - so I have heard Prilosec is what to take. I've also heard to keep things regular w ease to use Miralax. Please share your thoughts on the use of these two products and if they have helped you. Or on the flip side - you used them and saw no difference.

My inquiring mind wants to know :)

  8. I have an IUD and usually don't have my period, but I sure did this month - I thought it to be strange that I was having one but seeing that others have been affected in different ways I feel better.

I have an IUD as well and I keep forgetting to tell my surgeon that I have one. I wonder if that is even something I should bring up...what do you think?
I told my doc but she didnt seem to think it was a big deal - so if you feel like you should share then definitely do it - but don't stress if you haven't :)
