  1. Thanks everyone. I was in such pain that I didn't take more time to explain that I am 7 days post op. I had the sleeve done. I saw my reg. dr. this morning and she is the one who prescribed them to me. But with all the NSAID's out there I wasn't sure if this was one of them.. I did call the bariatric dept. and they said that the flexeril was okay to take and that I could even take extra strength tylenol with them. I think I'll do just the muscle relaxer and hope that works. Thanks.
  2. I knew it was to good to be true..lol! I was going by my binder where it says to add 2 scoops but it's probably to get the 30 gr of protein. Maybe I'll use less water 1 scoop and do that twice a.day. Thanks.
  3. I'm a little confused. When we have protein drinks (i use water) Sf popsicles Broth And vitamin water does it count towards the 64oz of liquids we should be intaking? I've been making my protein drink with 8 oz of water, 2 scoops of protein powder (60 gr of protein) and I get about 3 popsicles and of course some water. But I wonder if I'm doing this right... Please shine some light on me....
  4. I was told that restaurants are not required to honor the cards. boo
  5. I buy it it a Max Muscle. I tried all the other Protein shakes and they were all either to sweet or to chaulky tasting for me. This one is perfect. What I like is that I have the 60 gr. of protein before noon. I forgot to mention that it's 130 cal per scoop. Not to bad.
  6. I am sorry you aren't feeling good. Take it easy. If you haven't lost any weight now it is probably water retention, out bodies react differently. I am sure you will start losing according to your body. Hang in there. Hope you can have your protein today. Prayers going your way.
  7. My surgery was on the 13th and before I was released from the hospital the dr. graduated me to full liquids which is the creamy soups, cottage cheese, yogurt, shakes.... I have lost 10 lbs. since the day of surgery. OMG!! I can't believe it.
  8. For protein I really like Maxpro .. It's concentrated protein. Each scoop has 30 gr of protein and >1 gr of sugar 4 carbs and I love the strawberry flavor. I've been doing 8 oz. of water and two scoops of protein powder. I have it for breakfast and then just sip on water the rest of the day. I also have creamed soup, or yogurt, sf jello, Oh and my fav is sf popsicles..
  9. Omg! Congratulations!!! I share your happiness. I had my surgery in Thursday as well. I was in tears yesterday. When 4 days in a row my vs has been 97.. yes 97. I hope your bs continues to lower. Yay!!!!!!
  10. I tried the spicy bean soup today and something in it made my tummy rumble I think it was the spice.
  11. I hope it doesn't hurt. I've been craving it but didn't know how to prepare it.
  12. Oh yay! I think I'll have it for breakfast tomorrow. Thanks.
  13. I am 5 days out of being sleeved. Left the hospital on stage 2-pureed stage. On the list it says we can have cottage cheese. I really want to have some. Question is : do I have to strain it, blend and strain it or eat it just like that? Thanks.
  14. I was sleeved on the 13 th. I was in the hospital until sunday. I lost a lot of blood during surgery. Then my bladder de died it was going to stay asleep for at least 24 hours. I had a bit of nause but was due to the medications. I've been having head hunger. I've also been able to eat and drink with no problem. The only thing is that I don't know when I am full. I know it's weird. I try to eat a little bit but enough to get some protein. The only pain I have is on my back I think it's how they positioned me.during surgery.
  15. Thanks. I was told that no restrictions as long as it wasn't an hour drive and I was no longer on pain medication. My surgery was on 9/13. I want to be able to take my son to school.
  16. How many days after your surgery did you drive?
  17. No I had a patch near my neck bone and took it off on Saturday.
  18. I had surgery 4 days ago. I took lortab elixir for pain med. Last night about 7:30. I have been drinking my water. Should l be concerned, call the dr. Or just wait? The.dr. was suppose to call today and did not hear from him.
  19. I don't mind telling people I was having it done. What bothered me was they would look at me and say but why you are small you don't need it...or what is your dr. Thinking? When I did tell them that it was health reasons they immediately gave me support.
  20. I just got home from the hospital last night. I did lose a lot of blood while in surgery. I probably will ask the dr. When they call me today.
  21. I had my surgery on Sept. 13 th. And ever since then I've been so cold. Has this happened to anyone, and why might it be?
