  8. I hope you get a date soon. Happy all is working out for you.
  9. I am planning on taking off 1 week. I teach cake decorating classes and I teach 2 classes a day each being 2 hours each. I spoke to the dr. and he said 1 week is fine because I don't lift anything heavy. I think it would work out fine as I have a class in the morning and another class in the evening this will give me a chance to go home and rest if I feel to tired.
  10. Oh I feel so stressed. I am trying to prepare and stock up on things I need for after I have my surgery this week (Thursday OMG!!) and I know we have to has SF Jello, Protein shakes,SF popsicles does the color/flavor matter? but I also read about drinking broth. Any suggestions on the broth? Can I make my own or just buy it? How long do we drink it for? I am just a nut case today trying to sort things out. At least I have all my Vitamins and I found a Protein shake that I like. But I hear that can change after surgery. I know these are all dumb questions but I feel lost and scared of the unknown..
  11. I am not to sure as I didn't have to do a liquid diet. I know that in my handbook they gave me at the first appointment it states these are not to be considered protein drinks.....ensure,slim fast, atkins, special K, glucerna, boost. I know every doctor is different.
  12. Thanks everyone. I hope I can do this. I am already feeling lightheaded as I am diabetic and can feel my bs drop. I am thinking I should probably email my dietitian and see what she suggest.
  13. Right? I dropped the 10 lbs. the dr. originally wanted me to lose, then I gained 5 of them back. All I can do is hope that I drop them 5 lbs. in a week. I know when I get stressed it's harder to lose weight.
  14. Oh goodness. My surgery is Sept. 13th. I went to the pre-surgery class on Tuesday and I gained 5 lbs. from the day I saw the surgeon. I have exactly one week to lose the 5 lbs. otherwise they will cancel the surgery. The pressure is on. I started having 2 protein shakes and a small salad for lunch and lots of water and hot tea (still sick I caught bronchitis). And I will start the back at the gym today. Any suggestions? Thanks
  15. I hope you are feeling better. I myself am worried as well. I came down with bronchitis. I started on the Z pack this past Friday and took the last one yesterday Tuesday. My surgery date is the 13th of Sept. I feel okay except I still have a cough. The cough is no to bad but it comes in episodes. Ugh!!!
  16. That is terrible Honey Bee. What have the dr.'s told you, how much longer will it be before you get better? Sending prayers for a speedy recovery.
