What Made You Decide To Choose The Lap Band Over Other Weight Loss Surgeries?

I had the band and the sleeve done at the same time and he didn't remove any of my stomach...he folded the edges around underneath and sewed it up...I've lost 23.5 pounds and I haven't had any trouble! Love it! I was just banded on the 24th and have nothing but good things to say about both! -
I know this is probably a crazy question but what exactly does being stuck feel like??? I was banded on July 24th and I'm still out of the loop on some of this! On a brighter note I've lost 23.5 pounds since I started my 2 week pre op liquid and 8.5 since the 24th!

Thanks so much to all of you! I want to be prepared in every way! I'm also worried about eating in public and sliming?! Doesn't sound real good on either! Lol

I was banded July 24 and have been doing great! Only thing is when I wake up my mouth is extremely extremely dry...why is this and what can I do about it?????

I'm on clear liquids and broth for 2 weeks! I thought I would starve but this has been way easier for me than the pre op 2 week liquids...gonna try uping my water intake..it just feels nasty so my teeth have been getting brushed alot! Lol thanks for congrats! Congrats to you to!

I'm having lap band done on July 24 and I'm on day 10 of 14 of an all liquid diet! I watched a live lap band surgery on YouTube and freaked myself out...Can anyone tell how they felt after the surgery when they woke up and the first few days afterwards?

I also got banded yesterday...really sore but other than that I'm good! I haven't had problems with gas or anything like that...Hope everyone is doing great!!! -
Good luck! I know you'll do great and succeed! I go in 6 am on Tuesday and I'll still nervous! God Bless You and your kids! Let us know how you are when you are up to it!!!

I didn't think they were gross at all...it's just different when u picture yourself in their place is all I meant....Just my 2 cents Good luck ladies and I can't wait to hear how you do!
