Hi Likeadiamond, Congrats on being one week out! Do you mind me asking what made you decide to to a sleeve to RNY? I am 5 months out, and very happy with results so far - but have had a major slow down in weight loss. Wondering if I should have done the bypass instead. Hope the pain gets better soon for you! Tomorrow will be one week. I am coming of pain meds and I must admit I am in more pain than expected. I had the hernia repair and I am sleeve to rny. The nurse told me today that yes I will have a bit more pain because there was more manipulation.

I felt the same way and then bam I am now post op almost 1 week. It comes up quick.

Did your nutritional team set give you the stages of diet they want you to follow? I am a week out and still on liquids and will be for another week. Then mushies for 4 weeks. Every program is different. What did your program outline for you?

My experience was I had to be finished with my requirements. Your doctors office may be different. I don't think you will have any issues!

It appears that people love to respond to posts that are filled with drama. I am not pointing fingers so why would one assume that was directed to them. If I see drama I stay away, if I see a trend that the person asks similar questions I do not respond. I try to congratulate accomplishments. I don't have to answer any of the any of the potato chip 4 days post op questions because there are plenty of attack dogs on this forum. There are some board members that have true issues that should be dealt with by a professionals.

I started my period a day after coming home from hospital. It is super heavy I am guessing due to the blood thinners and stress to my body. I am still hooked up to my pain pump. I got undressed and just started to cry. My belly has always been nice not a lot of stretch marks during pregnancy and always nice and round with my babies. Now I see keloid marks from my sleeve and the addition of two or three more entry points. I know in my mind it is NOT the end of the world I am just so super emotional right now. My husband told me I still have a cute belly. I feel so hormonal and sad in this moment. My post op diet is a breeze I am progressing. I am just sad. That it came to this after so many failed attempts of weight loss. My whole life.....

My 90 days was from the 1st Nutrition Appt. I saw her June 3, July 10 and August. Last weigh in was Sept 3. Then I was submitted.

I did go out yesterday. I went to Walmart lol, even though I was I pain after I think it loosened me up a bit for today. The pain is not as bad. I don't know where the emotions came from.

That is awesome. I wonder if I have more pain because of hernia repair. That is great you are meeting your goals, it is difficult but it sounds like you are progressing beautifully!

Yes I chew my multi, and dissolve my Sublingual b and iron. I think the multi does have a yuck taste but I can tolerate. I take a swig of water with it. I would ask you nutritionist was would be an equal vitamin because you should not have to suffer. There are too many on the market. All my vitamins are BA.

So this AM I woke up with the terrible metallic taste in my mouth it is horrible. Garbage mouth! And I had a terrible meltdown not sure if you all saw my other post. I am better after sleeping but I could not stop crying.

Yes to the pillow! I am using my pregnancy boppy pillow to sleep.

I was in pain too. My surgery was Weds. It feels like it is tapering off a bit. Just stay on top of pain medicine and try to walk so you don't get to stiff. And so the gas can release.

Thank you. After talking to my husband the scars are really not the rooted issue. It is the years of pain associate with being over weight. The emotion of taking such a drastic measure to make myself health for me and my family. To be a better role model for my girls. The scars are the surface, the pain runs deeper and will be something that I address through this process,
