  1. I have not done well with the diet at all and I'm thinking I am probably stretching my sleeve. Now I'm at 213 from 235 since July 17th DOS .. sounds like many of u r in a similar range. I did liquid for 2 days post op then purer for about 2 days and totally skipped to soft foods after that. Now I'm eating regular food in really small portions b.c that's all that can fit. Today I had hot wings, but only two b.c i got too full. I need therapy I think. Smh

  2. I'm a smoker.. my doctor asked only two weeks, not two months.. but in honesty I never did quit, but said I did and they didn't check. I planned to quit post op, but ofcourse I tricked myself into thinking smoking would help with the gas pains.. anyway.. I've only been able to quit three times in life. My first n second pregnancy and once when I took a smoking cessation aide which was wellbutrin. Wellbutrin really works honestly, but the pills r too big to take post op.. but for your pre op purposes, I say ask your pcp for a prescription.

  3. I'm not dating, but i feel like this surgery is such a private thing, that I wouldn't disclose that i had thus surgery especially on a first date. I would encourage u to order and eat slowly and whatever u can. Order an appetizers or the lunch portion so its smaller. Whatever u don't finish, take home with u. I used to take doggie bags home with me even prior to surgery so its not a huge deal.

    Best of luck to u

  4. Who's going to watch your baby when u have surgery?

I was sleeved July 17th and I have a 31 month old and an 11 month old. My 31 month old is extremly active, so it was difficult the first few days. They tell u that u can't lift anything over 20 pounds.. so I couldn't lift them. My 31 month old is Potty trained, so wasn't a big issue, but I needed to lift the 11 month old to change his pamper. I'm lucky b.c he can already walk so it wasn't too bad.

  5. I had my sleeve July 17th... My body is only sore at one of the incision marks.. I can actually lay in my stomach and be overall comfortable. Still have some gas, but I have been doing poorly with the diet. Unlike u, I feel hungry. It's so frustrating b.c I want food. Im scared I won't be successful in losing weight at all. I started at 235lbs and went down to 233lbs by the time i left hospital. I try to eat things and i know its wrong. I feel sad for myself b.c u can still tolerate food. This is way harder than I anticipated.

  6. I had surgery july 17th.. Water intake hasn't been that good one reason is water hurts to drink. When I drink water even in tiny sips I get a full gas feeling that's painful especially when the pressure initially hits and it feels impossible to burp. Thought it would go away, but no luck. Tried drinking diet snapple.. same thing. When I eat Jello or broth, it doesn't happen though. What am I doing wrong?

  7. If u can quit, do it. I was told to quit at least two weeks prior to surgery. I didn't listen. I smoked Monday night, my surgery was Tuesday morning. Fortunately, they don't check to make sure. Nothing happened, but I'm sure its healthier to quit. Ofcourse I had to try to see if smoking could help ease the gas pains after surgery... It's a head game I play with myself. I can't be a healthier me, if I can't be a healthier me.
